होटल का अर्थ है जहां भोजन , पेय पदार्थ , रहने का स्थान , आतिथ्य सेवायें उपलब्द्ध हों।

होटल वास्तव में एक आम /साधारण शब्द है जो कि ग्राहकों की छवि अनुसार बदल सकती है।  रोड  किनारे ठंडा पेय पदार्थ चाय -कॉफी बेचने वाला एक मानव द्वारा संचालित संस्थान भी होटल है , सेवन स्टार होटल जो अपने आप में एक स्वतंत्र संसार भी है भी एक होटल है।

अलग अलग स्थानो में होटल की अलग अलग रेटिंग होती है और उसके प्रतिमान अलग अलग होते हैं।

पर्यटन उद्यम के अनुसार होटल वह संस्थान है जहां रहने , जलपान , पेय पदार्थ , भोजन व अन्य सेवायें उपलब्ध हों। होटलों की हॉस्टल , हॉस्पिटल से अलग विशेषतायें होती हैं।

भारत में होटल शब्द अंग्रेजों की देन है किन्तु भोजनालय, प्याऊ ,  धर्मशालएं, सराय  आदि शब्द प्राचीन काल से हैं। ढाबा शब्द भी होटल शब्द का परिचायक है।  ढाबा याने रोड के किनारे भोजन , पेय पदार्थ के सेवायें प्रदान करने वाला संस्थान।

पर्यटन लिहाज से होटल  वह संस्थान है जो घर से बाहर रहने , खाने पीने और अन्य सेवायें प्रदान करता है।

लॉजिंग , गेस्ट हाउस , धर्मशालों में अंतर होते हुए भी परिभाषा वली अनुसार सभी होटल के वर्ग में आते हैं।

                                     आर्य आगमन तिथि

  आर्य सभ्यता के आगमन के पश्चात भारत में लिखित साहित्य का उद्भव हुआ ।
कुछ इतिहासकार मानते हैं कि आर्यों  का आगमन भारतवर्ष में 3000 BC से पहले हो चुका होगा।  किन्तु जब एशिया माइनर , यूनान , ईरान आर्य आगमन के अध्ययन से पता चलता है कि आर्यों का आगमन 1500 BC लगभग हुआ होगा।
  वैदिक आर्य इंडो यूरोपियन -आर्य की शतम शाखा के अंतर्गत आते हैं। ईरानी आदि भाषी मूर्धन्य वर्णो (ट वर्ग ) का उच्चारण नही कर सकते हैं। जब कि ऋग्वेद की प्रथम रिचा में अग्निमिळे (ले के नीचे बिंदु ) जिसे ल/ळ  नही अपितु ड़ जैसे उच्चारित किया जाता है। भाषाविद इतिहासकार मानते हैं कि ऐसा परिवर्तन अनार्य भाषाओँ के प्रभाव से हुआ।  ऋग्वेद का रचनाकाल 1200 BC -1500 BC लगभग माना जाता है.

उत्तराखंड का मुख्यमंत्र्युं मादे सबसे अधिक ड्रेस पर ध्यान दीण वाळ मुख्यमंत्री छन अपणा डा रमेश पोखरियाल 'निशंक '। रंगीन फत्वी  , कुर्ता , रेबदार सुलार, सलीकादार  बाळ डा निशंक जी पर फबत छन।  डा निशंक ड्रेसिंग पर उथगा बरीकी से बरोबर  ध्यान दींदन जथगा  कि चुनाव मा अपण इ पार्टी का कंडिडेट का बेड़ागर्क करण मा ध्यान दींदन।

History of Gorkha /Nepal Rule over Kumaun, Garhwal and Himachal (1790-1815) -1

                    Gorkha is former Kingdom in confederation of 24 States or Gadhi Chaubeesi or twenty four Garhis. Gorkha kingdom was located in present North West Nepal. Gorkha was a famous hill city (55 miles North West of Kathmandu). It is said that Guru Gorakhnath did Tapsya in this Hill. There were Magar, garud, Thakuri and Khas the upper caste families and Harijan families Damai and Sarki. Bisht, Thapa, Basnet, Kunwar were major Khas people. All those people were called Gorkha. Doti, Tulu, Jumla, Chaubisis and Kumauni were called Padi or Pahadi. The inscription state Gorkha as Gorshya.  iIn fact, Nepali of other territories of Nepal are not Gorshya or Gorkha.
                  Old Stories about Origin of Gorkhas
          Bappa rawal was the prince of Mewar Kingdom. Gorkhas claim that they are descent of Brahmin and Rajput of North India (Rajasthan). Bappa Rawal was a warrior and was hiding as hunter in a Rajasthan forest where he met Guru Gorakhnath. Guru Gorakhnath presented a Khukri to Bappa Rawal and offered blessing too. The Guru taught Bappa Rawal to defend Muslim invasion. Bappa Rawal stopped Muslim advancement in Afghanistan.
 The descendents of Bappa Rawal won a small territory of Nepal (present Gorkha region) and named that territory as Gorkha for offering honor to Guru Gorakhnath.
 The Bhashavanshavali state that Khanchha was eldest son of Bhupal became the ruler of Magarant ( Bhirkot, Satahu and Garhu ). His youngest son Meecha (Abhay Singh) established his rule over Nuvakot and west part. Kulmundan the descendent of Meecha got the Crown of Nuvakot. Kulmundan got title as Shah by pleasing Delhi Mughal Emperor.
 There is no historical witness for proving Bhashavanshavali and folk stories.

अनेक भारतीय और अन्य इतिहासकार मानते हैं कि आर्यों का मूलस्थान यूरेशिया के स्टेप प्रदेश को मानते हैं। स्टेप प्रदेश को आर्यों की मूलभूमि मानने के पीछे तर्क भाषा वैज्ञानिक तर्क है।
यूरोपीय और संस्कृत भाषा में समानता के कारण माना जाता है कि आर्यों का मूलस्थान यूरेशिया के स्टेप प्रदेशहै। इतिहासकारों ने यूरोपवासियों और भारतीय आर्यों को एक नृशंस परिवार का माना है जिसकी पुष्टि पुरात्व और नृशस विज्ञान भी करते हैं (मजूमदार और पुसलकर , वैदिक एज )।
आर्यों का गौरवर्ण , लम्बी तीखी नाक , भूरे केश व भूरी आँखें आर्यों  प्रतीकात्मक अंग हैं जो भारत में आज भी कम ही मिलते हैं।
भारत में आर्य जाति ने यूरेशिया से पूर्व की और बढ़कर भारत के उत्तर पश्चिम की पहाड़ियों से भारत में प्रवेश किया। उस समय ईरान में भी कोल जाति का वास था। सप्त सिंधु (पंजाब ) तक आ बसने के बाद भी आर्यों ने राजनीतिक उलटफ़ेरों का जिक्र ऋग्वेद में नही किया। राजनीतिक उल्ट फेर में व्यस्त होने के कारण आर्यों ने अपनी  देवस्तुतियों का संग्रह भारत प्रवेश के तुरंत बाद तुरंत नही किया अपितु तीन चार सौ साल बाद ही किया ।
 ऋग्वेद ऋचाओं की रचना जिन ऋषियों ने की उनमे प्राचीन नाम अंगिरा , रहूगण , कुशिक है।  इनका जीवन काल 1300 BC माना जाता है।
ऋग्वेद के ऋषियों जैसे भारद्वाज , कश्यप , गौतम , अत्रि , विश्वामित्र , जमदग्नि और वशिष्ठ का काल 1350 BC माना जाता है। विद्वानो का अनुमान है कि ऋग्वेद की रचना सप्तसिंधु (पंजाब ) में हुयी होगी।

         The First Gorkha King Dravya Shah (1559-1570) belonged to Kulmandal. Before, Gorkha Rule, Gorkha were ruled by Ghule people (Khas, etc). Dravya Shah was camping in Chhoprak village near Gorkha land. Nearby Chhopal village, there was Liglig the Garud clan republican. They used to elect their King on Vijaya Dashami. When people were gathered to select their King, Dravya Shah attacked on the people and caught the right on Liglig.
 There was a Khas King ruling over Gorkha land. Tagadhari Khas (putting Janeu) and Matwali (who used to take alcohol) were dissatisfied with the Khas King. Narayan Arjyal and Ganesh Pande the well wishers of Dravya Shah enhanced the dissatisfaction among Khas people against Khas king Khandka. It was alsoe spread the rumor that Guru Gorakhnath blessed Dravya Shah. Dravya Shah attacked on Gorkha Land but was defeated by Gorkha. Then diplomatically, Dravya Shah got the people of Khandka on his side. On Krishnajanmashtami, Bhadrapada of 1559, people hid Dravya Shah in Tallakot (old Court or Fort) of Khandka. In mid night Dravya Shah attacked on Mathilo Kot or upper Fort and killed the Khas King of Khandka. Dravya Shah caught the Khandka in mid night. From that day, Shah Dynasty ruled over Gorkha Land. The successor Kings of Dravya Shah added title as Ati Prabal Gorkha-Dakshin Bahu , Mahadhipati.
Dravya Shah also caught rule of Singhanchauk and Ajay Garh.  Dravya Shah ruled from 1559-1570.

डेवलपर या डेवलपमेंट कम्पनी एक  व्यापारिक कम्पनी  होती है (या  व्यापारी ) जो होटल निर्माण में जोखिम  उठाती है , और जो होटल निर्माण का विचार पटल पर रखती है।डेवलपिंग कम्पनी होटल निर्माण हेतु जोखिम उठाती है।

डेवलपर अपने सीमित कर्मचारियों व एस्टेट एजेंटों के साथ मिलकर होटल स्थल की खोज करती है।

होटल के ग्रेड अनुसार डेवलपर चार पांच स्थलों को चुनता है।

ये स्थल स्थानीय सरकारी संकुल (नगरपालिका या ग्राम पंचायत ) द्वारा होटल /क्लब /आदि के लिए आरक्षित होने चाहिए।

होटल मुख्य मार्ग के सामने होना चाहिए।

होटल से  दांयें -बांयें मुड़ने के मोटर सड़क होना ही चाहिए।

ट्रक और अन्य भारी वाहनों की आवाजाही के लिए सड़क होनी चाहिए।

स्थान की कीमत को आंका जाता है कि क्या होटल व्यापार स्थल कीमत के अनुसार ही चलेगा कि नही।

आस पास की वस्तियों का भी अध्ययन आवश्यक है।  पंचतारा या साततारा होटल के आस पास की वस्तियाँ उच्च स्तरीय वस्तियाँ होनी ही चाहिए।

स्थान चुनने के समय फिजिबिलिटी स्टडी भी की जाती है।
