I have posted some photographs of a potoable tracker in begining of this thread. Kindly have a look. I feel such kind of trackers can be put in use there which can reduce a little bit of people hard work on field.

It is not a question of going for something very hitec in agriculture.Actually basic technology also has not been utilized to the full.

Simple rain water harvesting system + gravity drip system.

Nothing hitec

Give a small slope on roof tops  to one end or put channels on side.Divert all the water to one single pipe which connects to a tank.
This collected water can be used to irrigated fileds through DRIP SYSTEM.

These are plastic tubes lines which have holes at regular intervals and watering is only near the root zone.
This saves water and evaporation losses are also reduced.
Never there is a single month in hills when it does not rains.A 10 hours rain a month can irrigate for next one month.With drip irrigation you can irrigate plants with 1/5th of water availability.

Mini tractors are actually power tillers and I feel farmer cooperatives can buy them and get fields ploughed by them because it may not be feasible for people to buy one with small land holdings and it is required more during the planting time of crops.Then getting diesel by individuals is also an exercise in hills.

डीडीहाट(पिथौरागढ़)। बांज, बुरांश सहित चौड़ी पत्ती वाले हरे भरे वृक्षों से घिरे डीडीहाट की प्रसिद्ध सिराकोट पहाड़ी में आने वाले वर्षो में न्यूजीलैण्ड के फल कीवी की महक फैलेगी। इसके लिये भारत तिब्बत सीमा पुलिस की 7वीं वाहिनी द्वारा पहल शुरू कर दी गयी है। जिले के उद्यान विभाग की मदद से लगभग पांच हेक्टेयर भूमि में कीवी के पौंधों का रोपण किया जायेगा।

डीडीहाट नगर के सामने खड़ी सिराकोट पहाड़ी का धार्मिक क्षेत्र में विशेष महत्व है। लगभग 8 हजार फिट ऊंची इस पहाड़ी की चोटी का मध्य भाग वनस्पति विहीन है। इस भू भाग को मिर्थी आइटीबीपी हरा भरा करना चाहती है। जिसके लिये 7वीं वाहिनी भातिसीपु के वर्तमान सेनानी एपीएस निम्बाडिया द्वारा प्रस्ताव रखा गया। उन्होंने बताया कि यदि विभाग द्वारा पर्याप्त संख्या में पौंध उपलब्ध करायी गयी तो सिराकोट पहाड़ी के मध्य में फैले लगभग पांच हैक्टेयर भूमि में कीवी उगायी जायेगी। उन्होंने बताया कि बल कीवी के पौंध रोपण से लेकर उसमें फल लगने तक सुरक्षा का जिम्मा लेगा।

जिला उद्यान अधिकारी डा. नरेन्द्र कुमार का कहना है कि कीवी फल साढ़े तीन हजार फिट से लेकर साढ़े पांच हजार फिट की ऊंचाई तक में उगाया जा सकता है। कीवी की बेल है जो काफी अधिक लम्बी होती है। उनके अनुसार कीवी उत्पादन की यहां पर काफी अधिक सम्भावनाएं है। श्री कुमार का कहना है कि चाइनीज गुजबेरी के नाम से जाना जाने वाले इस फल में बेहद पौष्टिक तत्व है। आंवले के बाद इसमें सबसे अधिक विटामिन सी पाया जाता है। डीएचओ ने बताया कि आइटीबीपी का प्रस्ताव पहुंचने पर विभाग अपनी विषाड़ नर्सरी से पौध उपलब्ध करायेगा।

The tough working in pahad has co-relation with migration. Due to tough working on field and getting very low output from it, people have migrate from pahad and prefer to do some kinds of litte job.

We would like to give some details on this shortly.
