  this is khushi, i stay in pune but want to share an experiance, last mont when i came to uttranchal we heired an vachale, and the person who was driver thought we are not from uttranchal they started talking in pahari and with that they started driving and you guys wont believe the driver was driving so fast that we were feeling that we are flying, the worst thing there are no checking post by which no one can trace them, in the middle of the journey we fount an spot were an accident was happened people were trying to take out all the pessengers. and while looking at that accident the driver ,said now a days people dont know how to drive, one question was jumping in my mind wether he know! the rule how to drive? it was very horriable journey.thaks a lot to god we were at our home safely. my consern is to take some strong steps towards this matter by making checking post as more as possiable, and by checking wether the driver is drunk or not and if they are ,then there should be strong steps toward it. hope my mail will be and important twist towards this matter

See this another tragic news, which took place today. This year almost 200 people would have lost their lives in Uttarakhand in road accidents. However, it is very sad Govt never took the matter seriously and implemeted any strigent traffic rule to ensure that such cases do not occur again again due to negligence driving etc.

pilgrims were critically injured in the accident that took place at Vishnuprayag.

The bus carrying 45 people lost control after being hit by a boulder, police said.

Police said that 41 bodies have been retrieved and two persons were rescued, who were rushed to a nearby hospital where their condition was stated to be critical.

Senior administrative and police officials are supervising the rescue operation.

The pilgrims from Orissa were on their way back to Rishikesh after visiting the Badrinath shrine in the Garhwal Himalayas. (ANI)

Very good suggestion you have given in order to control on such unfortunate accidents. But very sad after so many casulties / accidents never any big annoucement was made from Govt side that they are taking step towards this.

I also feel that random checking should be conducted on different places and defaulters should be charged with heavy fine. By doing so, the Drivers would behave themselves.

मेरे ख्याल से परिवहन विभाग को निम्न कदम तुरन्त उठाने चाहिये:
१- व्यवसायिक चालकों को लाइसेंस देने की प्रक्रिया में सुधार, चालक की उम्र, फिटनेस और दक्षता को परखने के बाद ही लाइसेंस दिया जाय,
२- सभी व्यवसायिक वाहनों में गति नियंत्रण यंत्र लगाये जांय. (४० कि०मी० प्रति घंटा)
३- सड़क में जो भी दुर्घट्ना सम्भावित क्षेत्र हैं वहां पर सूचना तथा स्पीड ब्रेकर लगाये जांय,
४- जो भी चालक दुर्घटना करता है उसका लाइसेंस कैंसिल किया जाय,
५- दुर्घट्ना सम्भावित क्षेत्र में पैराफिट तथा पेड़ लगायें जांय,
६- हर ४० किलोमीटर पर यातायात चौकियां बनाई जांय, जो हर वाहन की एंट्री करे और उसकी गति एवं फिटनेस और चालक की स्थिति को (शराब आदि) चैक करे और उसकी जिम्मेदारी तय की जाय कि अगली चैक पोस्ट तक गाडी पहुंच सकती है, यदि नहीं पहुचे और कोई दुर्घटना हो तो उस अधिकारी की जिम्मेदारी भी हो.

खाई में गिरने से भाजपा नेता की मौतNov 20, 02:16 am

लैंसडौन (पौड़ी गढ़वाल)। भाजपा लैंसडौन मंडल इकाई के महामंत्री सुरेश बेदी की सड़क किनारे खाई में पैर फिसलने से मौत हो गई। श्री बेदी के निधन पर विभिन्न संगठनों ने शोक व्यक्त किया है।

प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार शनिवार की शाम श्री बेदी जयहरीखाल से लैंसडौन पैदल आ रहे थे। इसी बीच झारापानी मंदिर के निकट पैर फिसलने से वह सड़क से करीब पांच सौ फीट गहरी खाई में जा गिरे। श्री बेदी के घर न पहुंचने पर परिजनों ने उनकी तलाश की। रविवार की शाम उनका शव झारापानी की खाई में बरामद किया गया। सूचना मिलने पर कोतवाली पुलिस मौके पर पहुंच गई थी। पुलिस ने क्षेत्रीय जनता के सहयोग से शव को खाई से निकालने के बाद उसका पंचनामा किया। उनके निधन पर व्यापार मंडल लैंसडौन ने शोक स्वरूप सुबह ग्यारह बजे तक अपने प्रतिष्ठान बंद रखे।

I have not seen news on this where Govt has taken any steps towards this.
