I have recently returned from leave. When i was going leave, i found a lot of shortcomings / deviations in Bus Services of Uttarakhand. The first major safety issue was of Bus Driver.

a)   There was no proper rest room for Driver where he can take rest.

b)   He was found sleeping in veranda in public place. Where there was a lot noise.

c)   When I enquired him about the Rest Room. He said there is only a small Rest Room where all Drivers do not get space to take rest.

d)   The same bus Driver who had brought the bus in the morning, has to take the bus back during the night.

The issues of passengers is at stake under such circumstance where the Driver is not getting adequate rest before driving during the night.

Transport Dept of Uttarakhand must think over this issue and ensure proper safety measure for passengers.

This is the incident of ISBT Anand Vihar Delhi.

Unforunately, i could not capture this whole incident in Camera.  I wanted to make a video of whole incident.

There was also complain from Conductor that Nigam (Transport Dept) has got the 6th of Pay Commission dues. 

There were many other complaints from his side against the Govt.

हमारे राज्य की सरकारें इस राज्य को पर्यटन प्रदेश बनाने की बात करती हैं और उससे प्रदेश की अर्थव्यवस्था के सुदृढ़ीकरण की बात की जाती है। लेकिन क्या सरकार इस बात पर जरा भी ध्यान देती है कि टूटी सड़कों और फूटी खटारा बसों से कैसे पर्यटक आयेगा। यह बात सही है कि हमारे प्रदेश में पर्यटक स्थानों की कमी नहीं है, यहां कई ऐसे भी स्थान हैं जहां पर पहुंचकर पर्यटक प्राकृतिक सौन्दर्य से अभिभूत होकर अपनी सुध-बुध खो देता है।
पर्यटन को यदि परिवहन से जोड़ा जाय तो प्रदेश को दोतरफा राजस्व की प्राप्ति हो सकती है। लेकिन होता यह नहीं है, खटारा से खटारा बसों को पर्वतीय रुटों में लगाया जाता है, जिससे पर्यटक तो छोड़िये आम आदमी भी उसमें सफर नहीं करना चाहता। आज भी कई ऐसे रुट हैं जहां पर बसें अब चलती ही नहीं।
सरकार को चाहिये कि ऐसे दूरस्थ और सुदर पर्यटक स्थलों का चयन करके वहां त उत्तराखण्ड परिवहन निगम की आरामदायक बसें चलवायें। जब प्राइवेट ट्रेवल एजेन्सियां ए०सी० और डीलक्स बसें उन रुटों पर चलाकर अपनी कम्पनी चला सकते हैं तो सक्षम परिवहन निगम क्यों नहीं?

खुश  खबरी, लगता है मेरापहाड़ पोर्टल में हमारे  द्वारा डाले गए खबर का असर! ही ही..

नयी बसे खरीदना अच्छी बात है लेकिन जिस प्रकार से ड्राईवर के लिए आराम की व्यवस्था नहीं है बड़े रूट पर, वह कही ना कही, सुरक्षा एव संरक्षा के मद्देनजर अच्छा नहीं है !

यहाँ दिली से उत्तराखंड को जानी वाली अधिकतार बसे रात में ही चलती है, जहाँ पर ड्राईवर के आराम की व्यस्था अच्छी होनी चाहिए !

U'khand buys 145 buses from Tata

The Uttarakhand government has bought 145 buses from auto giant Tata Motors through an open bidding. The red-colour buses will ply in three cities – Dehra Dun, Haridwar and Nainital. Under the Jawaharlal Nehru Renewal Urban Mission (JNRUM) programme, the Centre will bear 80 per cent of the cost and the rest 20 per cent will be borne by the state government.

A total of Rs 25 crore was sanctioned for the purchase of new buses for the convenience of tourism as well as the citizens in the three cities. Additional Transport Secretary Vinod Sharma told Business Standard, “We are trying to raise the level of comfort for our citizens as well as tourists coming to the state.”

While 60 buses would ply in Haridwar and Dehra Dun each, the rest 25 buses are for the hill resort of Nainital, mainly to promote tourism there.

The condition of buses i saw at ISBT Anand Vihar was worst. No was no improvement seen. I have taken some photographs which depicts the condition of buses and safety safety aspect of commuters.

There was grievances from employees side also, they had not got salary till 19th of the month.

The condition of AC buses was pathetic.

This needs immediate attention. I asked the In Charge who was telling that Transport Minister never visited at ISBT Anand Vihar to see the condition of Uttarakhand bus Depot.
