Jyoti and Charu, both cousins, have studied in Dehradun and their parents stay there, while, Manasi Dobhal, who hails from Pauri, has been brought up in the US. Her father, being an Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer, Manasi has travelled across the globe from Iran to the US.
Talking to Garhwal Post, Manasi candidly accepted that she had never been to Pauri. Talking about her film career, she said “Shaabash” was her debut film and she had also worked in ad films with Rani Mukherji and Juhi Chawla.
Sitting quietly in a corner at the set of the film being shot in Balarampur House, here, Charu Sharma told this correspondent that it was her first Hindi film with Director Manoj Agarwal and she would be doing another film with Adiman. According to Charu, she has studied in DAV (PG) College in Dehradun and took part in stage shows since her school and college days. So far, she has acted in 14 Garhwali films namely “Beu”, “Ab Kakhi Na Ja”, “Maya Lo”, “Man Mera Kargo”.
Charu is elated about her role in the film “Shaabash”. She is portraying the role of a Professor in a college. It is quite similar to Sushmita Sen’s role in the film “Main Hoon Na”. Charu said the film had an interesting comedy sequence which she has enacted with the hero Ritesh Agarwal.
Jyoti also hails from Dehradun. Speaking about her role, she said she was portraying a “Tapori” girl who is always playing pranks on her friends. The girls are excited about their film career and hope to attain heights like other film actresses with their histrionic talents.
