DEHRADUN, 27 Mar: Preetam Bhartwan, the well known Garhwali folk singer, today released his twenty-fifth VCD of Jagar and other religious songs here, today. The VCD will soon be within the reach of the masses.
In the album, the songs have been sung by Preetam Bhartwan and the direction is by Anil Godiyal. Produced by Darshan Kumar of T-Series, the Music Direction is by H Soni and Choreography by Vijay Bharti and ‘special help’ has been provided by Gajendra Nautiyal.
The Chief Guest on the occasion was Hari Datt Bhatt ‘Shailesh’, the well known writer of the state. He said that at the present, the purity of the folk songs was being affected. Bhartwan’s songs, however, still retained the original character. This had made Bhartwan’s songs different to other folk songs available in the market at the present time. Because of the originality in the songs, they are immensely liked by the people, especially in the villages.
Preetam Bhartwan revealed that they had used various kinds of instruments in the songs that gave it a cultural touch and made its melodies worth hearing. He said that the CD had, in all, eight songs. The duration of the CD was one hour. Out of the eight songs, there were three Jagars and five Bhajans.
The shooting of the VCD has been done at various religious places.
