Dinesh Da,

This is question, i am putting here on half of several students.

Generally, it is seen in ou hill areas that people do not have more option after doing 12th. They either want to make their in army as soilder.

However, there are several students who find themselve clueless about chosing the right career.

So what kind of courses, you would sugggest for them to shape their career in Science and technology ?

Mehta ji,
Sorry for the delayed response.

coming to the question of choosing Right career:
I agree that students in hill areas, are unaware of most of the options available in different field due to lack of resources (Media, Career Magazines, Internet, Libraries, etc.),  so they choose simplest option joining Army as solider (as Army People also prefer people from Hill areas).

There are many course / career options are available other than Traditional engineering and Medical courses, which students should target for. I am trying to put some of these as the more opportunities are coming to these fields and higher demands for experts would be there in coming years.

Agricultural Science : B. Tech.  / B.Sc. Degree.
Actuarial Science : Examination conducted by Institute of Actuaries.
Fashion Technology : B. Tech. Degree.
Physiotherapy ; B.Sc. Degree.
Nutrition & Dietetics : UG/PG courses.
Floriculture: UG / PG courses.
Animation : UG / PG courses, B. Tech. and Diploma courses.
Forensic Science: UG / PG courses.
Architecture :  B. Tech.
Genetic Engineering :  B. Tech.
Bioinformatics : B. Tech./ UG / PG courses.
Biotechnology: B. Tech. /UG / PG courses.
Dairy Technology: B. Tech. /UG / PG courses.
Interior Designing: B. Tech. /UG / PG courses.
Jewellery Designing, Gemmology: B. Tech. /UG / PG courses.

Before choosing any of the career options, students should also consider their interest so that they can enjoy and excel in desired field.

I have not put any detailed information for the courses as it would be too lengthy, so please write to me if any further information is need for any particular course/s.

Dear Sonia ji,
thanks for asking the question,
but you are asking very broad details , first please give me an idea about your career interests and educational background. Also try to tell me your interested career goals and fields ( Teaching, Govt job. , Pvt job. ,banks,  any others). As native of UK are required mostly in the Govt. job not in pvt.job to give some advantage to native people and reducing Brain drain.

you can try in many pvt. sec as there is no compulsion of native of UK.
so please let me know some more details so can you tell more options.

thanks

Sonia ji,
there are very less opportunities in merchandising in UK compare to other states.
you can try for other options like computer operator jobs in private firm.
Also if you want to join UK music then other Mera Pahad team members can help you in that, but you have to prepare yourself accordingly (language and culture).
Also just register on http://www.uttarakhand-jobs.com/ site and upload your CV so that site people can post you related jobs.
