Parvatiya Lok Kala Manch Presents Play Rajula Malushai-24-25 Mar 12

Dosto,

Parvatiya Lok Kala Manch (PLKM), is going to present A romantic narrative of the Kumaon hills of Uttarakhand, Rajula-Malushahi on 24th and 25th of March,2012. . It is the love story of King Malushahi — perhaps a historical personage — and Rajula, daughter of a Tibetan trader visiting the king’s dominions. All three main versions of the ballad end in the marriage of Malushahi and Rajula. Sung at a stretch — in a village courtyard or home on a happy social occasion — the ballad takes ten or 12 hours to perform. We have tried to depict the same in 2-3 hours.

 The Parvatiya Lok Kala Manch, one of the renowned cultural group, has contributed a lot in cultural development of the Uttarakhand since its inception in 1987. The main successful presentations of the Manch are “ Sudama Charitra“, “Pushpa Kanya“, “Kagare Aag“, “Rajula Malusahi“, “Ritu Raina“, “Baramasa” and other cultural shows like “Paravatiya Mahotsava”, “Uttarayani Mela“, “Bagwali Tyar” in Delhi and cultural stage shows in other states performed by devoted and talented artists are also other additions in the series of cultural events of the Manch.

कल इस नाटक मंच का आयोजन होगा! आशा है ज्यादे-२ से ज्यादे लोग इस कार्यक्रम बहुचर्चित नाटक को देखने आयंगे!
