Dear Friends,
It was indeed a pleasure meeting the young and the elderly, aspirants and the experienced. The learned participants in their respective field of ground work and the WILLING lot to learn and DO something what matters in the up bringing of our brethren back home and here for the people of Uttarakhand. After a big pause, I have had the opportunity to take part in the e-group's initiated meet at the Press Club of India, New Delhi on Sunday the 10th of Feb, 08.
As a matter of fact, it was a long cherished dream for me to bring together the three generations on a common platform. Thanks to the organisers, its one of the most fulfilling meets that I have attended among the net users, e-groups since 2001. Internet community of Uttarakhand is globalised already. The participants besides e-members of various Yahoo Groups were from a different walks of REAL life from Activists, Politicians, Journalists, Scholars, Professionals, Entrepreneurs and ANDOLANKARIs demanding separate state and agitating at the Jantar Mantar were witnessing a different kind of an initiative. For the enthusiastic youngsters, nervousness to stand and express and anxiety know more from the stalwarts of yesteryear's was quite visible.
Even though, there may be a repetition of activities by the upcoming e-groups at different level. Yet, these efforts are meaningful and appreciated. Knowing at the tender age, knowing her/his potential and encashing opportunities by grabbing them at the right time is a big achievement of such events. Knowing first is something, I feel, one can choose to work later. Already known and sharing it with the others to make to society at large aware of their rights and duties can pave the way for the Govts. to effectively work.
This kind of endeavors will enlighten the web community and strengthen them to choose the right activity or work for making a difference in the society. Making a difference in one's life, by positive attitude and thinking, as quoted by Mr. Ashutosh Karnatak. I see a lot of promising future for all those young lads, who took part in the meet and also to all those, who can watch the event on-line, which will fall in line in due course.
I would like to thank the entire Uttarakhand Centric web community for supporting the up coming starts of tomorrow and I can tell you that this LOT is the best among various e-groups of Uttarakhand.
