On the occasion of Nation’s 68th Republic Day, DJJS Bengaluru centre organized a special youth event ‘Nirman: Building a cleaner and greener Bharat’ under the banner of DJJS Nature Conservation Program- Sanrakshan at Potti Sri Ramulu Telugu University Hall, Nampally, Hyderabad, Telangana. The initiative had a twin aim of reconnecting youth with the great Indian culture and mobilizing tangible pro- environmental action among youth to deal with the ever- growing environmental concern. The program started with remembering the inspiring figures of India history, the revolutionaries who laid their lives, ambitions, talents, careers, and families etc. to build the sovereign Bharat. Their evergreen words of inspiration struck the chords of patriotism in the hearts of one and all sitting in the hall.
Emphasizing the fact that, patriotism should not be a feeling restricted to a couple of days of national importance or during times of contention at the border, DJJS Youth volunteers urged the youth of Hyderabad to stand up and take lead in solving the social issues concerning the Nation as an act of patriotism and do their due for Nation building.
Unrolling the immediate environmental concerns of the Nation, DJJS team performed a though- provoking skit highlighting the problem of littering, its causes and consequences on human health. The play was followed by a stand- up comedy highlighting the discontent of the youth towards current systems of the Nation and their resulting intentions to fly abroad and settle there for comfortable lives. The audience caught laughing at the statements they often make about the Nation, listened in rapt attention to an insightful lecture on “21st century Patriotism” by Sadhvi Nishanka Bharti Ji, ascetic disciple of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, founder and head DJJS.[/font]
She shared, “His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, founder and head of DJJS says, youth is not about age instead a youth is the one who is awakened about his inner potential and who utilizes his potential for a great cause”. Referring to the examples of Swami Vivekanand, Shri Aurobindo, Subhash Chandra Bose, Rani Lakshmibai etc. Sadhvi ji added, “these awakened youth played a leading role in freeing the Nation from the clutches of enslavement. It’s now time that once again youth of India awakens to its potential and leads the nation to a change”. Sadhvi ji shared that “Today His holiness Ashutosh Maharaj ji, through the Eternal Science of Self Realization- Brahm gyan has awakened several youth across the country and have reconnected them with their cultural roots. These young men and women under the banner of DJJS are working across the country to address various social concerns”.
Quoting former President APJ Abdul Kalam, "Today there is a constant climate change in the universe. Deforestation, industrialization and transportation emitted carbon-dioxide has caused a hole in the ozone layer, leading to increased heating of the planet Earth. This is the major cause of flood and draught. If youth of the nation decide, they can definitely change the situation” Sadhvi Ji called upon the youth in the audience to take vow to lead a movement for Garbage free Hyderabad.
Sadhvi Ritu Bharti Ji, ascetic disciple of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, founder and head of DJJS, tested the knowledge of the young minds on topics of Indian Culture, Heritage, History, and the India’s natural resources through a quiz.
Towards the end, a special band performance by “Eternal Bliss” enthralled the audience to the core and filled the atmosphere with enthusiasm and patriotism. The participants found themselves greatly privileged on attending the program and were seen brimming with new zeal and spirit to work on to bring about the change.
