First of all hats of to Mehta jee for opening this wonderful thread.

Well I miss pahad too like you all guys do.
I born in uttarakhand but brought up in delhi. I have spent less time in pahad but i can recall all those memories easily spend at my village during summer & winter vacations.

Mehta jee is right one can't express love in words.

I miss my amma's Nodi(butter) after preparing chhan(Lassi).
I miss those balds(oxes) whom we used to graze after a full day of ropai.
I miss those moments when we kids used to roam jungal whole day for Kafals, hisalu, Kidmodi.
I miss that sky which is full of stars
I miss those voices(frog voice, Voice of bugs on cheed tree) in evening
I miss that silence in jungal and suddenly bird's chirp from opposite side.
I miss those days when we all brothers used to jump from upper most field to lowest field.

मैंने जैसे की पहले लिखा है कि में पहाड़ को कितना मिस करता हूँ वो में शब्दों में नहीं लिख सकता! मेरे दिल में मेरे शरीर के कण -२ में हिमालय उत्तराखंड ! जैसे हनुमान जी के हिरदय में राम चन्द्र जी वसते है !

   -   मुझे याद आते है बचपन के दिन.
   -   मुखे याद आता है काफल
  - मुखे याद आता है हिसालू, किरमोदी
  - मुखे याद आता है गर्मियों में ठंडी हवा..
   -  मुखे याद आता है सर्दियों कि सुहानी धूप

I miss those days when Dholi and his team use to came to our house for every function and we used to dance with him. I remember some steps taught us by Funnu Dholi.

I miss that music coming from Damua. :( That music "Ghyan ghyanaa gan kutri kutri"

Now we are coming across with many Uttarakhandi who are not even born and brought up there but they are interested to have their alternate house.

This is good sign.


As far as my case is concerend, i can not describe in word that how much i miss Dev Bhoomi UK.
