Sapna Awasthi is an Indian playback singer. She is well-known for the song Pardesi Pardesi from the Hindi film Raja Hindustani (1996). Her father was a lecturer in Lucknow University.
Sapna learnt Indian classical music from the Bhatkhande Sangeet Mahavidyalaya. She started her singing career in 1990. She made her debut with the song "Banno Teri Ankhiyaan" from the film Dushmani (1995). She has sung for various Hindi films such as Krantiveer (1994), Anjaam (1994), Zamaana Deewana (1995), Raja Hindustani (1996), Ajay (1996), Darmiyan (1997), Tirchhi Topiwale (1998), Dil Se (1998), Bandhan (1998), Wajood (1998), Lal Baadshah (1999), Jaanwar (1999), Mela (2000), Khauff (2000), Jungle (2000), Ghaath (2000), Yeh Mohabbat Hai (2002), Company (2002), Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam (2002), Dil Ka Rishta (2003), Barsaat (2005) etc.
Sapna has sung several songs in Rajasthani, Nepali, Bengali, Telugu, Bhojpuri and other languages. She has also released several pop albums of her own. She is married to Kartik Awasthi. They have their own drama company called the Awadh Theatre Group.
