Famous Singers's Rewards - क्या प्रसिद्ध गायकों के नाम पर पुरस्कार होने चाहिए?

उत्तराखंड के लोक संगीत में यो तो बहुत गायक एव गायिकाए समय -२ आए और उनमे से कुछ ही लंबे समय तक इस क्षेत्र मे अपना योगदान दे पाये !

However, only two prominent singers of Uttarakhand gave new highest to Uttarakhandi Folk. These are Late Shri Gopal Babu Goswami and living Legend Shre Narendra Singh Negi Ji. However, the contribution of other singers like Chandra  Singh Rahi, Heera Singh Rana, Ram Ratan Kala, Kaboorti Devi etc etc an not be ignored.

The contribution of Goswami ji towards UK's folk music is really commendable. He was the first singer from kumoan region to get his voice recorded and releasing the audio album as a result of which a lot of singers came into this field. However, the early death of Goswami Ji due to brain tumor left the folk in learch. No body could emerged to take work of Goswami Ji ahead. However, various singers are coming now-a-days but they are disappering after a few albums.

Negi Ji at age of above 60 is still giving a lot hits and promoting our folk music are national and international level.

In order to promote the folk music further, should there be any Awards on names of these Great Singers of UK.

In my opinion, Govt of UK should make awards on name of these great legend of UK Folk Music so that new singers can get some motivation after having been received such a awards.

At present, i think there is no award exists for Folk Signers.

मेहता जी! इस मसले पर सरकार से कोई उम्मीद रखना तो बेकार है, जब आज तक खुद गोस्वामी जी व नेगी जी को सरकार ने किसी महत्वपूर्ण पुरस्कार या उपाधि से नहीं नवाजा है तो उनके नाम से पुरस्कार शुरु करना तो सरकार के लिये बहुत दूर की बात है.

कोई प्रतिष्ठित संस्था अगर यह पुरस्कार शुरु करे तो निश्चय ही यह लोकसंगीत व लोककला से जुङे कलाकारों के संवर्धन में सहायक होगा.

Pant ji you are right. It really shocking that thse legends have not been awarded by the Govt of UK for this contribution in folk music of UK. Though, Goswasmi ji no more but he can be awarded posthumous award and Negi Ji still giving his best..

It would be better if some sort of awards were on the names of these legends. This would help to promote the folk music further.
