Denotation , metaphor and connotation in a poetry pays shows the direct meaning of the words and construction of words. But in indicative sentiments of poetry does not only have direct connection with word’s meaning but the sentence also indicate the theme of the poem.
The following examples show that the folk people were expert of using indicative sentiments in folk poetry-Bajuband Kavya :
1- Main inpuchhadu chhori , ko chha tero gail
Ishwar bahgyan kwee iklwasyan na na human dala pakyan ber
2-videshi bhounra kabi papan ni Honda
3-wahi hondu banti khandu , bhago kya kan
In all the above poetries, we may find the indicative emotions or suggestive emotions with clarity
These above example also indicate that Garhwali, Himalayan‘s folk songs are rich in structure and indicative meanings too.
