Manish Krishnanand Pandey (born September 10, 1989 in Nainital, Uttaranchal) is an Indian cricketer. He is a right-handed middle order batsman. (Batting style: Right hand and Bowling style: Right Arm off break). Pandey represents Karnataka in first class cricket.[1] He was a member of the victorious Indian team in the 2008 Under-19 World Cup held in Malaysia. He represented Mumbai Indians in the 2008 Indian Premier League. Manish from Karnataka was one among the 14 other players who won the ICC under-19 World Cup recently in Kuala Lumpur, were selected for Indian Premier League teams through a draw at the second auction of cricketers in Mumbai.[2]
Pandey represents Bangalore Royal Challengers in the 2009 season of the IPL. In the last league match of the season, he carried his bat after scoring an unbeaten 114 in 73 balls against Deccan Chargers.It was the first hundred by an Indian in IPL.
Life and career
Began playing when he was in the third standard and has represented Mysore and India U19s.

In the triangular U/19 event he helped seal India's victory by scoring 51 runs against Bangladesh and 72 in the final against the same team.
Man of the Match in the 56th match of the 2009 season of the Indian Premier League for scoring an unbeaten 114 from 73 balls (10 fours and 4 sixes) for Bangalore Royal Challengers against Deccan Chargers. This knock helped the Bangalore Royal Challengers Team to enter into IPL-2 Semifinals. This was the first century made by any Indian batsman in either seasons of the IPL.He also made 48 runs from 35 balls in IPL 2009 semifinal against Chennai Superkings.
Man of the match in 2nd semi final for Bangalore against Chennai Super Kings for scoring 48 runs off 35 balls. His match winning partnership with Rahul Dravid guided the Royal Challengers into the 2009 IPL finals.
Manish , in his first Full season for karnataka Ranji team , was the top run scorer in ranji trophy 09/10 season with 882 Runs which includes 4 100's and 5 50's , with a average of 63.00 and a staggering strike rate of 79.74 , which also included a stunning 144 of 151 in Ranji Trophy Final against Mumbai while Chasing a mammoth 338 , eventually Karnataka lost by 6 runs.
