 Suman Kabiraj was born in Dehradun, Uttarakhand on first January 1982
 Suman passed her post graduation from Government College of Art and Craft Kolkataa , Kolkatta University
 Suman Kabiraj  teaches art and craft in Selaqui International Chakrata Road Dehradun.
 Her woks of water colour, oil painting, and other contemporary art is appreciated by art critics through various media.

                Dharni Dhar Chandola : The Famous Painter and creator of New Music Instrument  Vichitr Vela

                     Dharni Dhar Chandola is a famous painter born before Independence on 25 December 1916  in village Chandola Rai, Nandalsyun Patti of Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand.  Garhwal.
 Dharnidhar Chandola  passed his five year diploma course in Art and Crafts from Lucknow College of Art and Crafts.
 Chandola  exhibited his paintings in  solo exhibition or in group exhibitions in Delhi (1944, 1953, 1976) Mumbai, Lahor, and got recognition and appreciation. Dharnidhar  was one of the popular painters who used to participate in Mysore Art Exhibition. Dharni Dhar Chandola made portraits of kings of many Riyasats of Pre Independent time . Due to those portraits of Kings , Dharnidhar became popular in Britain and other commonwealth countries too and many famous personalities ordered him to make their portraits. Chandola was famous for water colour paintings and invariably in each painting Dharnidhar used to keep Himalayan geographical beauty on background.
        Dharnidhar was also a profound musician too. Dharnidhar Chandola created anew music Instrument called ‘Vichitr Vela  which was created by many changes in Japani music instrument Tashikiti. The daughter of Dharnidhar Malshri Chandola did displayed Vichitr Vela in many exhibitions and demonstrated playing of Vichitr Vela

                         Ramesh Bisht : Sculpture Artist 
  Born in 1945 in a remote village of Garhwal, Ramesh Bisht passed diploma in Sculpture, Clay modeling and ceramic and Pottery from Lucknow College of Art and Crafts Lucknow.
 Ramesh Bisht became lecturer of Art and Crafts in Sharada School of Art and Crafts in New Delhi.
 Ramesh Bisht has been participating in art exhibitions at various places all over India. Ramesh is famous for his sculpture

                        Alok Uniyal : A Famous Painter

  Uniyal caste is very well known cast in Garhwal. Uniyals have been involved in many political activities in Garhwali kingdom from the time Uni vilage ( The original village of Uniyals) in Garhwal near Shrinagar and many Uniyals were in various post of Garhwali Kings at various time. One of star of Uniyal families is Alok Uniyal who was born in 1970 in Meerut .
 Alok passed  M.A in Drawing and Painting from Meerut University in 1993. Alok is born artist as from his childhood he was attracted to draw what it appealed to him
      Alok Uniyal participated in many group exhibitions all across India and got many honors and awards.
 One of Art critics explains his painting  Alok is totally capable in handling the vast spaces on large canvases with ease and can divide  the space with bold, solid colors and  composing poetic figures with a magical quality to them.  Further the critic says , “It may be a Devi, or a Dab-seller, or a young couple in love; he imbues them with a certain lightness & lyricism, which makes them very special. These vibrant colors are mostly the colors of an Indian spring, particularly Monsoons in Kolkata, a city that he is greatly influenced by & has chosen to highlight”

         Ekeshwar Prasad Hatwal  : A Profound Painter
                                    Bhishma Kukreti
 Hatwal belongs to very reverend Brahmin caste in Upper Garhwal who were related to badrinath-Kedarnath temple poojas . Hatwal caste is said to be honored by many Garhwali kings for their Panditai and mantras.
   Garhwal is proud of its star son - Ekeshwar Hatwal who  is one of the famous painters in India of his time. Ekeshwar hatwal was born in 1953 in Upper Garhwal, Uttarakhand, India.
 After passing his MA in Applied Art with gold medal from D A V college Dehradun , HNB Garhwal University, Ekeshwar Hatwal joined as lecturer of Rajasthan School of Art in Jaipur.
         Ekeshwar Hatwal participated in many solo and group art exhibitions all across India and got appreciations and awards . His style is Figurative and life span is always there in the paintings of Ekeshwar  Usually, Ekeshwar Hatwal uses water colour for his painting.
 Ekeshwar hatwal is also well known Contemporary Art Critic , ekes war hatwal published a well acclaimed book on art Vigyapankala  and published many articles related to art

 Ishan Bahuguna : Oil and Water colour Artist
  Ishant Bahguna born on 1st June 1958 in a remote village Khemda of Tihri Garhwal, Uttarakhand . Ishan Bahuguna passed BFA from Delhi Lalit Kala Mhavidyalaya Delhi,
            Ishan Bahuguna has exhibited his works of art in various group and solo exhibitions and got honors and awards.
 Ishan got prizes as Painting competition on Mahatma Gandhi in 1981, Mural College of Art Delhi , in 1981, Mural college of Art Delhi, 1983, Federation of Management of Education Institution 1998.
         One of the spectacular works by Ishan Bahuguna is a project drawings on Life, Life styles of Jaunsari Tribes . This work was appreciated by common men and profound art critics as his work displays the realism and emotions of Jaunsar tribe life. The art work is really a poetic display.
 Among  works of Ishan , the paintings The Touch of Heaven, Sound of  Divinity, The Mount, The landscape, The Hut, Vikash Minar are very famous art work.

 Chandramohan Jakhmola : Finest Photographer of Himalayan Nature

    Chandramohan Jakhmola had been  visiting Jaspur village , Malla Dhangu from Delhi for forty five  years regularly for taking photographs of geographical beauty  of Garhwal . Chandramohan Jakhmola is obsessed with geographical beauty of Himalaya and catches the beauty, Georgenes in his camera. In Dhangu, Dabralsyun patti (Pauri Garhwal), Chandramohan means a camera in his hand and that is the identity of famous photographer of Garhwal.
                 Chandramohan jakhmola was born on 30 August 1950 in village, Jaspur, Malla Dhangu, Gangasalan, Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand.
                His father Mahannad Jakhmola was posted in central government department in Delhi and he left village for his schooling with his mother Bhanumati Devi (her mother’s place is  Masogi, Dabralsyun) in his early age .
              Chandramohan Jakhmola developed a hobby of photographing after watching a slide show of a photo-journalist and his father bought Yashika Mat for him, Chandramohan used to visit his village in summer vacation and used to take photographs of his villagers while they were working. His interest was on human activities and nature. Many villagers were surprised by his behaviours taking photographs of stones, tree, waterfalls, water ditches, hills, water mills, grass land etc (it was said, hyan yu chnadrmohna pathrun , naulu, gdnu photok klai leendu?)
      Chandrmohan Jakhmola passed graduation in Arts and Photography from Delhi College of Arts.
   He joined central government in Delhi for his earning but his interest was always in photography. Chandramohan Jakhmola might have taken more than 10000 (Ten thousand ) photographs .
  Jakhmola’s remarkable work will always be remembered the photographic work in Nanda jat Jatra in 1988. C M Jakhmola traveled 300 Kilometer from Nauti ti back Nauti to capture the finer insight of Nanda Jatra. Captain Shurbeer Singh Panwar (the historian, the heritage protector and member of royal family Tihri Riyasat)  inspired Jakhmola  to travel Nanda Jatra and capturing the Nanda jatra travel.
 Jakhmola also capture the insight of Badrinath, kedarnath Yatra. He traveled beyong Gangotri , Chaybasa etc to capture the secrete beauty of Gangotri region. Bhagirathi valley, Alaknanda valley, Ganga from Singtali to Rishikesh.  is available in his collection of photographs in his Delhi residence. Chandramohan says that most exciting memeories are his visit to Tungnath shrines and taking snaps there.
 If we study the photographs of Chandramohan from 1970 till date , we may find clear changes took place in the arena of society, geography, culture, religious worshipping, forests, agriculture, agriculture land, horticulture, marriage ceremonies, Gharat, jandaru, Kutan-pisan, doodh pijan , grassland, markets, buying habits of people of Jaspur, Gweel, Bareth, Silogi, Masogi or malla Dhangu and Dabralsyun areas as he has been capturing human and geographical changes of the area every year.
  Jakhmola exhibited his photographs in group exhibitions. Chandramohan did participated in more than twenty slide shows at various places.
  His slides were also shown in Mosco ( Apna Utsav)
    Natural History Museum Delhi has preserved his hundred of photographs.
  Dharmayug, Saptahik Hindustan, Nav Bharat times, Dainik Hindustan Rashtiy sahara and Nestime Hyderabd or many regional periodicals published the photographs of Chandramohan Jakhmola.
  Jakhmola also participated in competition organized by National geography organization.
 President Shankar Dayal Sharma awarded him for Presidential Award for his dedicated work in photography.
 The photography experts as Dr Sarswat, S Paul praised his works apart from prais from Dr Govind Chatak and many more.
   Chandramohan Jakhmola resides in Delhi.

  Ranbir Singh Bisht : A Fine Artist of Water Color Paintings
                                 Bhishma Kukreti
    Garhwalis are proud of their artist star Ranbir Singh Bisht . Ranbir Singh Bisht was born on 4th October 1928 in Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. After studying in Lansdown , Ranbir studied the finest matter of art from Lucknow Kala evam Vanijya Mahvidyalaya (five year diploma) and took teacher training for fine art teaching. Bisht joined art teacher in Lucknow College of Art and Crafts and became head of the department and principal of the said college. Later on he became head of department of fine art of Lucknow University.
  Ranbir Singh Bisht exhibited his water colour paintings in mono exhibitions and in group exhibitions in various places of India and foreign countries as America, South  American countries, Japan, and many countries of Europe.  Various Art Museums in India and abroad preserved his paintings.
  UNESCO, Fine Art Academy Delhi, Mysore fine Art Exhibition organizations, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and various art and social organizations honored Ranbir Singh Bisht

Mohan Lal Negi : The Copper  Carving Artist
                   Bhishma Kukreti
 Mohan Lal Negi is multifarious personality of Garhwal. By profession, he is lawyer. Mohan Lal Negi is famous for his two remarkable Garhwali language story collection and a novel in Garhwali language. Negi also published a magazine with Dr Mahaveer Prasad Gairola, D;Lit from Tihri.
   Mohan Lal Negi is also very fine copper carving artist.
             Mohan Lal negi was born in village- Belgram, Patti  Athur, Tihri Garhwal, Uttarakhand
  Mohan Lal Negi carved the portraits of many famous personalities as Lenin, Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, Dr Sarvpalli Radhakrishnan , Meera Bai and many more on copper plates. The portraits were very much appreciated by art critics. The portraits look like living persons.
