Chandrashila at an altitude of around 4000mtrs offers a 360 degree view of the Himalayan range.

Cable car on the Auli ropeway. The ropeway is owned by the GMVN, which charges Rs. 400 for a return ticket from Joshimath to Auli.
The car covers the 4 km length of the ropeway in about 20 minutes, starting from an altitude of 6254 ft in Joshimath, and ending at 9896 ft in Auli.

Gorson bugiyal (12000 ft). The two tall snow-covered mountains at the centre left of the picture are Ghora Parbat (left) and Hathi Parbat (right). Dunagiri is at the centre right.
