दोस्तों,

उत्तराखंड के देवभूमि मे कदम -२ पर मन्दिर है! इन मंदिरों लगभग हर जगह पर कोई ना कोई धार्मिक / पौराणिक कहानी जुड़े हुयी है ! उत्तराखंड की यही पावन भूमि जहाँ बोले नाथ ने सती पार्वती माता से विवाह किया था, उत्तराखंड की यही पावन भूमि है जहाँ बोले नाथ से समुन्द्र मंथन का विष पीकर नीलकंठ कहलाये थे !

उत्तराखंड मे भगवान् शिव के कई मन्दिर है हम उन्ही मंदिरों के बारे मे यहाँ जानकारी देंगे !

ताडकेश्‍वर महादेव चम्‍पावत

चम्‍पावत मुख्‍यालय से 5 किमी चम्‍पावत टनकपुर  मुख्‍य मोटर मार्ग के किनारे पर स्थित है भगवान शिव का बहुत ही प्राचीन मंदिर है चम्‍पावत नगर तथा ग्रामीण क्षेत्र् का श्‍मशान घाट भी है शासन द्वारा इसी के बगल पर शीतल मत्‍स्‍य पालन केन्‍द्र तथा कोल्‍ड स्‍टोर भी  बनाया है प्राचीन मान्‍यताऔं के अनुसार यहां पर स्थ्ति सीताकुन्‍ड में नहाने का बडा भारी महत्‍व है

Rudranath Temple (Chamoli District Of Uttarakhand)

This is one of the panch Kedars. The face of Lord Shiva is worshipped at Rudranath temple in a natural rock temple as Neelkantha Mahadeva. Lord Shiva is worshipped here as Neelkantha. The temple is situated amid thick forest at a height 2286 mtrs. From Gopeshwar 4 kms motorable road is available upto village Sagar from where 20 kms. trek leads to Rudranath and can be approached from Joshimath as well, by trekking about 45 kms. The temple provides magnificent view of Hathi Parvat , Nandadevi, NandaGhunti, Trishuli and many other.

There are numbers of holy Kunds (Tanks) near Rudranath temple namely Suryakund, Chandrakund, Tarakund etc. The Baitarini, the divine river flows pass behind the temple.

Baleshwar

Baleshwar, 76 kms. from Pithoragarh, situated at Champawat is the most artistic temple of  the   district.  There are  evidences that the  group  of    temples  dedicated  to  Baleshwar, Ratneshwar and Champawati Durga were built by the early kings of the Chand dynasty. The temple once had intricate structural features and a  sanctuary with a mandap. The intricate  carving still visible on the ceilings of these temples is an evidence of their ancient glory and artistic excellence.

Jageshwar (almora)

Jageshwar (Hindi-जागॆश्वर)is the Himalayan Hindu sacred religious pilgrim place dedicated to Lord Shiva located at the distance of 36 km northeast from Almora town of Kumaun region of the Uttarakhand state of India and is a cluster of large and small stone temples. Jageshwar was once the centre of Lakulish Shaivism. It is located in the Jataganga valley near a Deodar forest (Cedrus deodara) starting from Artola village on Almora–Pithoragarh highway. Two streams Nandini and Surabhi flow down the hills in the valley and meet near the sacred spot. The altitude of this place is 1870 mts. Jageshwar is an ancient temple city,having a group of temple with 124 temples some are in the ruin.Majority of temples are in a good preserved state and looked after by archaeological survey of India.Fairs takes place at Jageshwar during the Hindu Shravan month of July and August and during Shivratri festival.

Many believes Jageshwar is the place of Nagesh among the forest of Deodar(देवदारू वन), 8th among the Dwadasa Jyotirlingas i.e. twelve resplendent lingas of Lord Shiva established by Lord Vishnu-

सौराष्ट्रे सोमनाथं च श्रीशैले मल्लिकार्जुनम् ।

उज्जयिन्यां महाकालमोकांरममलेश्वरम् ।

परल्यां वैद्यनाथं च डाकिन्यां भीमशंकरम् ।

GAURI UDIYAR DEDICATED TO LOARD SHIVA (IN BAGESHWAT DISTT)

This is sitiated 8 kms from Bageshwer. A large cave, measuring 20 X 95 sq mts is situated here, which houses the idols of Lord Shiva.

Kedarnath Temple

Kedarnath temple is one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and is located atop the Garhwal Himalayan range near the river Mandakini in Kedarnath, Uttarakhand in India. Due to extreme weather conditions, the temple is open only between the end of April to start of November. The temple is not directly accessible by road and has to be reached by a 14 km uphill trek from Gaurikund. The temple is believed to have been built by Adi Sankaracharya [1] and is one of the twelve Jyothirlingas, the holiest Hindu shrines of Lord Shiva. The older temple existed from the times of Mahabharat, when the Pandavas are supposed to have pleased Shiva by doing penance in Kedarnath. The temple is also one of the four major sites in India's Char Dham pilgrimage.

The actual temple is an impressive stone edifice of unknown date. According to the Puranas, the Pandava brothers did a major penance in Kedarnath to please Lord Shiva. As a matter of fact, as one enters the main temple, the first hall contains statues of the five Pandava brothers, Lord Krishna, Nandi, the vehicle of Shiva and Virabhadra, one of the greatest guards of Shiva. An unusual feature of the temple is the the head of a man carved in the triangular stone fascia of the temple.Such a head is seen carved in another temple nearby,namely,the temple constructed on the site of Marriage of Shiva and Parvati. No specific family of pujaris supervises rituals at Kedarnath, which focus around veneration of the stone lingam that rests in the inner sanctum of the temple.

Tungnath Temple (Chamoli Garwal)

Tungnath is located in Chamoli, a district of Garhwal, in Uttranchal, India. The Tungnath Temple, situated on Tungnath at an altitude of 3,680 meters, is the highest Shiva shrine among the Panch kedars. The temple is believed to be 1000 years old. Shiva is worshipped here as one of the Panch Kedars.

It is believed that the temple was built by the Pandavas to appease Lord Shiva, who was enraged by the massacre on the battlefield of Kurukshetra during the Mahabharat war.

Rudreshwar Mahadev Temple (In Almora Distt)

Rudreshwar Mahadev Temple is one of the ancient temples in Uttarakhand. Situated near the bank of the river Ram Ganga, Rudreshwar Mahadev Temple is dedicated to lord Shiva. Rudreshwar Mahadev Temple is only 10 km from Masi and Bhikyasen.
