Maiktoli Peak

Maiktoli Peak is a massive mountain located on the southern part of Nanda Devi Sanctuary in Uttaranchal. It is in the Garhwal region in the mountain ranges of the Himalayas. The peak is situated at an altitude of 6803 m.

Mandani Peak

Mandani is a lofty peak situated above the south bank of the Gangotri Glacier in Uttarkashi District of Uttaranchal. This peak is in the Garhwal region of the Himalayas. Rising up to a height of 6193 m above sea level, this snow-covered peak was first ascended by Messner and Spannraft during the 1938 German expedition to Gangotri.

Mount Baljuri

 


Mount Baljuri is a snow-clad mountain, located near the Pindari Glacier, in Bageshwar District of Uttaranchal. This peak lies at an altitude of 5,922 m above the mean sea level. May to June and September to November is the ideal time to access this peak.
Pant Nagar Airport and Kathgodam Railway Station are the nearest major access points

Mrigthuni Peak is located at Bageshwar near Nanda Devi Sanctuary in Uttaranchal. At an altitude of 6855 m, this is in the Garhwal region of the Himalayas.

Naina Peak
Also known as China Peak

Situated at a distance of 5.6 km from the town, Naina Peak marks the highest point in Nainital. It commands a bird’s eye view of the town which appears like a bowl when looked upon from the top. Alternatively known as China peak, it offers one of the most beautiful treks in the region.

Nanda Devi Peak

Nanda Devi, which literally means ‘Blessed Goddess’ is the second highest among the Garhwal Himalayas. Towering over an altitude of 7,817 m, it is a rare example of perfect twin peaks. The graceful symmetry of its double peaks is a visual treat. The mountain has been revered by the inhabitants of the region as a dwelling place of the Gods. The names of various mountains and passes in the region illustrate this belief.
Due to its unfriendly terrain only a few mountaineers had succeeded in conquering the peak. It is difficult for the climbers to reach even the foothills, for its entrance is guarded by long and deep gorges. It was only in 1934 that the first group succeeded in crossing the gorges.

Nanda Devi Peak is a major tourist attraction in the region and thousands of tourists flock every year to watch this splendor of nature.

Nanda Kot Peak

Nanda Kot is one of the well known peaks in Pithoragarh District of Uttaranchal. It is placed at an altitude of 6861 m in the Garhwal region and divides the Gori and Pindari valleys. In 1905, Dr. Longstaff was the first to ascent the peak.
Many famous glaciers are located in this region. The best months for climbing are from September to October.

Nandakot Peak

 
Also known as 'Fort of Nanda', Nandakot is a mighty peak that divides the Gori and Pindari valleys. It stands tall over an altitude of 6,861 m. In 1905, Dr. Longstaff was the first to ascent the peak.

Nar Parbat

 
Nar Parbat is a snow clad peak situated near the Valley of Flowers in Chamoli District of Uttaranchal. This majestic peak is perched at an altitude of 5,855 m in Central Garhwal region. Nar Parbat, the trekker’s delight, was first ascended by Kalyan Banik and Susants Gayn from the Bengal expedition team on 18th September 1996.

Neelkanth Peak


Popularly known as 'Garhwal Queen', Neelkanth is a pyramidal snowy peak towering above Badrinath. No history of central Garhwal would be complete without a detailed mention of its scenic splendor and unsurpassable beauty. Standing at an altitude of 6,597 meters, it is a sought after destination of the pilgrims, though a difficult proposition for mountaineers.
