Ghes is a beautiful village in Chamoli District of Uttaranchal. This charming village is situated away from the hustle and bustle of the city and is noted for its calm atmosphere and scenic beauty. The trekking route connecting Tapobath and Gwaldam passes nearby. Mundoli, Ali Bugyal, Bagrigad and Wan.
With its numerous trekking and hiking trails, the village is a favorite haunt for adventure enthusiasts.

Rishikesh Railway Station serves this area. Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest airport.

Gobindghat

Gobindghat is a small settlement in the valley of the river Alaknanda, situated between Joshimath and Badrinath. The settlement consists mostly of the buildings of a Gurdwara. It is the starting point for the trekkers to the Valley of Flowers and Hemkunt. Gobindghat is located about 20 km away from Joshimath where buses or hired taxis are available to this base camp. The shrine of Hemkunt Sahib is about 20 km trek from here. For those who cannot walk all the way to this shrine, mules and sedan chairs can be hired at Gobindghat.

Gurso Bugyal

 


Situated at an altitude of 3,056 m, Gurso Bugyal is a huge meadow amidst a mixed forest of oak and conifer. The shaded trees and enchanting meadows is a treasure to the nature lover and offer visual delight. It is accessible by ropeway from Joshimath, which is barely 1 km from the last tower of ropeway. As there is no accommodation available here, visitors can only admire the pleasant scenery during the day and will need to return to Auli before nightfall.
Gurso Bugyal is 3 km from Auli. Accommodation facilities are available in and around Auli. The nearest airport is Dehradun, about 298 km from Auli.

Bhatronjkhan is located in Almora District of Uttaranchal. It is around 20 km south-west of Ranikhet. River Kosi flows nearby.

Pipalkoti, a scenic town, is situated ten km from Birahi in Chamoli District. It is located at an elevation of about 1,219 m. It lies along the Deoprayag and Valley of Flowers trek route. It nestles among lush green mountains and terraced fields. Pipalkoti provides delightful views of the snow clad mountains and green hills all around. Tangani, Urgam, Kalpeshwar and Nanda Prayag are the nearby attractions. Guest houses and tourist bungalows are available for pilgrims and tourists. The nearest railhead is at Rishikesh (221 km). Pipalkoti is well connected by road with Chamoli (17 km), Rishikesh, Badrinath (80 km), Haridwar and Dehradun.

Barlowganj

Barlowganj is a small sleepy village situated near Mussoorie, in Pauri Garhwal District of Uttaranchal. The village offers majestic views of the Mussoorie Hills. Jharipani Fall, Jharipani, Mussoorie Lake, Mussoorie Wildlife Sanctuary and Mussoorie Library are the nearest tourist attractions.
Barlowganj is around 4 km from Mussoorie. Mussoorie Bus Station and Dehradun Railway Station are the nearest bus station and railway station respectively. Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest airport.

Delchauri

Delchauri village is in the Pauri Garhwal District of Uttaranchal. It is situated about 44 km from the district headquarters, Pauri, on the Srinagar-Delchauri road. The famous Kanda Temples are located 1 km from this village.
The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport. Kotdwar Railway Station is the nearest railway station.

Dhalsari (Deo Sari) is a scenic village situated near Mussoorie in Pauri Garhwal District. It lies at an altitude of about 6,000 ft. Aglar River, a tributary of Yamuna, flows through it. It is surrounded by mixed forests of oak, pine and fir. There are many trekking and hiking trails in the region. Nag Tibba trek begins from this spot. Nearby interesting places to visit are Mugru, Seakoli, Flag Hill and Jabarkhet.
The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport and the nearest railway station is at Dehradun.
