Congress opposes reduction in term of cooperative societies

DEHRA DUN: The opposition Congress staged dharnas all over Uttarakhand on Monday accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party-led State Government of trying to muffle democracy by reducing the term of cooperative societies from five years to two years.

Addressing party workers at Pauri, Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee president Yashpal Arya wanted to know why the BJP was trying to reduce the term of these elected societies when all other elected positions in the country had a five-year term.

“Cooperatives are the basic tool for socio-economic development of the poorest. An elected representative needs at least two years to understand the problems and another three years to make and get need-oriented plans implemented. Although the BJP leaders know this, they are bent upon dissolving the societies as most of them have Congress workers as members,” Mr. Arya said, adding that the party would oppose this move at all levels.

In Dehra Dun, the Congress workers led by the city party president, Lal Chand Sharma, and State party general secretary Shankar Chand Ramolla submitted a memorandum to the Governor urging him to ensure the safety of democratic institutions in the State.

घोटाला! 600 की कुर्सी खरीदी 6300 रुपये में

 श्रीनगर (पौड़ी गढ़वाल)। बेस चिकित्सालय में सामान्य स्तर की कुर्सी करीब 6300 रुपए में खरीदने से आज प्रदेश के चिकित्सा स्वास्थ्य मंत्री डा. रमेश पोखरियाल निशंक भी हैरत में पड़ गए। कुर्सियों की हालत को देख उन्होंने माना कि यह कुर्सी अधिकतम 600-700 रुपए तक की ही होनी चाहिए। इस खरीद प्रकरण से सम्बन्धित सभी पहलुओं की जांच कर रिपोर्ट देने का आदेश उन्होंने गढ़वाल मंडल के अतिरिक्त निदेशक चिकित्सा स्वास्थ्य डा. आर्य को दिए।
   बेस चिकित्सालय का आज करीब 6 घंटे तक किए गए औचक निरीक्षण के दौरान स्वास्थ्य मंत्री के संज्ञान में यह मामला आया। बाद में उन्होंने पत्रकारों से कहा कि एक सामान्य कुर्सी को इतनी अधिक कीमत पर खरीदने को ऐतिहासिक भी मानते उन्होंने यह एक कुर्सी एडी स्वास्थ्य को अपने कार्यालय में बतौर मिसाल रखने के लिए भी कहा। प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार करीब एक वर्ष पहले उत्तराखंड हैल्थ सिस्टम देहरादून द्वारा 12 कुर्सियां खरीदकर बेस चिकित्सालय को भेजी थीं। जब इन कुर्सियों की हालत और उनकी कीमत की जानकारी बेस चिकित्सा कर्मियों को मिली तो वह भी हैरत में थे। बताया जाता है कि बेस चिकित्सालय के ट्रामा सेंटर के लिए हैल्थ सिस्टम प्रोडक्ट द्वारा इन कुर्सियों की खरीद की गई थी। अस्पताल में आने वाले रोगियों से बाजार से दवा खरीदकर लाने के लिए कहने को लेकर जब कुछ प्रकरण स्वास्थ्य मंत्री डा. निशंक के संज्ञान में आज बेस चिकित्सालय के औचक निरीक्षण के दौरान लाए गए तो उन्होंने इस प्रकरण को भी बहुत गंभीरता से लिया। बीपीएल श्रेणी के रोगियों को बाजार से दवा खरीदकर क्यों लानी पड़ी इसकी भी जांच एडी चिकित्सा स्वास्थ्य डा. आर्य तीन दिनों के अंदर कर रिपोर्ट देंगे।

भ्रष्ट अफसरों के लिए दया नहीं:खंडूड़ी

 रुद्रप्रयाग। मुख्यमंत्री मेजर जनरल(अप्रा) भुवन चन्द्र खंडूड़ी ने कहा कि भ्रष्ट अधिकारी के लिए कोई दया नहीं होगी और उन्होंने जनता से अपील की कि भ्रष्ट अधिकारियों की सूची उन्हें भेजें। उन्होंने लोक सभा चुनाव का आगाज करते कहा कि केंद्रीय नेतृत्व टीपीएस रावत को लोक सभा चुनाव में प्रतिनिधि बनाए, जिससे योग्य सांसद क्षेत्र को मिलेगा और तेजी से विकास होगा।
   नगर क्षेत्र के नये बस अड्डें में जन सभा को सम्बोधित करते मुख्यमंत्री श्री खंडूड़ी ने कहा कि राज्य में संसाधनों की कमी नहीं है। उनका उद्देश्य सूबे का विकास करना है और राम राज्य के संकल्प को धरातल पर उकेरना है राज्य को पूरे भारतवर्ष में सम्पन्न व संस्कारित बनाना है। विकास में धन की कमी आड़े नहीं आने दी जाएगी। इस अवसर पर पूर्व मंत्री टीपीएस रावत ने कहा कि हमारा सौभाग्य है कि हमें बीसी खंडूड़ी जैसे मुख्यमंत्री मिले है और उनकी दूरदर्शी सोच ने चंद महीनों में ही राज्य में अमूलचूल परिवर्तन किए है, जिन्हे जनता भलीभांति जानती है। कहा कि जो भी जिम्मेदारी उन्हे सौंपी जाएगी, वह उस पर खरा उतरने का पूरा प्रयास करेगे। क्षेत्रीय विधायक एवं पेयजल मंत्री मातबर सिंह कंडारी ने कहा कि कई मुख्यमंत्रियों के नेतृत्व में काम करने के बाद आज यह एहसास हो रहा है कि मुख्यमंत्री गरीबों की पीड़ा को सुन रहे है और जनता की सरकार जनता के द्वार जा रही है। मुख्यमंत्री के नेतृत्व में एक साल में ही राज्य का नक्शा बदल जाएगा। विधायक केदारनाथ श्रीमती आशा नौटियाल ने मुख्यमंत्री समेत अन्य दिग्गज नेताओं का स्वागत करते कहा कि श्री खंडूड़ी का नेतृत्व मिलने से प्रदेश को नयी दिशा मिली है। पिछले पांच वर्षो से लम्बित कार्यो पर त्वरित कार्यवाही की जा रही है। भाजपा जिलाध्यक्ष श्रीमती शकुंतला जगवाण ने कहा कि विकास के लिए पार्टी, सरकार व जनता के आपसी सहयोगी नितांत आवश्यकता है। जिला मीडिया प्रभारी विजय कप्रवाण ने मुख्यमंत्री को भगवान केदारनाथ मंदिर का फोटो स्मृति चिन्ह के रूप में भेंट की। मुख्यमंत्री बीसी खंडूड़ी ने नवरात्र के अवसर पर सिद्धपीठ कालीमठ में पूजा-अर्चना की तथा गुप्तकाशी में जनसभा को भी सम्बोधित किया।

U'khand people losing faith in Janta Darbar

Dehra Dun, Oct 16: People in Uttarakhand have lost their faith in Janta Darbar held by the ministers by turn as the assurances given to the people in these darbars fall on deaf ears, Sahara Samay sources said.

According to the sources, the ministers of Khanduri-led BJP government in the state hold such functions as and when their turn comes. They give a patient hearing to the problems of people of the state here.

However, the assurances given by the ministers to the people do not produce desired results for them as authorities concerned are too busy to heed to them.

This is perhaps the reason why no pleader came to one such camp organised by one minister of the state on Monday.
