a)      Dashara fair at Kanda market, 10 days, 5 sacrifices.
b)      Shiva Ratri – Lord Shiva worship, Gopeshwar.
c)      Panchami fair Dholinag in September/ October.
d)     Bashai Jagaran, 11days celebration, Golu and Ganganath temples.
e)      Dashahara – 5 sacrifices or 9 night celebration in other temples.

 विभिन्न गांवों में राज दीपावली अर्थात राज बग्वाल धनतेरस की रात्रि को धूमधाम से मनाई गई। इस मौके पर लोगों ने पारंपरिक पकवानों का स्वाद चखा और ढोल-नगाड़ों की थाप पर रातभर नाचते रहे। इतना ही नही लोगों ने जमकर भैले भी खेले।

राजबग्वाल को चम्बा के नजदीकी गांव मखल्वाणू गांव के कुंवर परिवार के लोगों ने राज बग्वाल को पारंपरिक, लेकिन धूमधाम से मनाया। तो वहीं दूसरी कुजणी के रामपुर गांव में रौतेला और सेलूर, डोभालगांव आदि कई गांवों में कभी राज परिवार के दीवान रहे डोभाल परिवार के लोगों ने राज बग्वाल अपने-अपने तरीके से मनाया। मखल्वाणू गांव में कुंवर परिवारों ने राज बग्वाल के मौके पर क ई प्रकार के पारंपरिक पकवानों का स्वाद लेकर और भैले खेलकर राज बग्वाल मनाई। इस मौके पर उन्होंने आस-पास के दूसरे समुदाय को लोगों को भी भोज दिया। यहां के लोगों ने डीजे को दरकिनार कर पारंपरिक वाद्य यंत्र ढोल और दमाऊ का प्रयोग किया और रातभर ढोल की थाप पर नाचते रहे। ग्राम प्रधान भगवान सिंह कुंवर ने बताया कि वे राजपरिवार का होने के कारण पहले से ही राज बग्वाल धूमधाम से मनाते है। इसमें दूसरे लोगों को भी आमत्रिंत किया जाता है। विदित हो कि राज बग्वाल राजपरिवार के अलावा डोभाल और कुंवर व रौतेला लोग मनाते है। डोभाल लोगों को राजपरिवार ने राज बग्वाल मनाने का अधिकार दिया था तो वहीं दूसरी ओर कुंवर और रौतेला लोग अपने को राज परिवार के वंशज बताते हैं और उसी आधार पर राज बग्वाल को धनतेरस की रात्रि को मनाते हैं।

नखरूं घाट मेला  26 Nov 2012            आज से शुरू होगा नखरूं घाट मेला
 
  लोहाघाट : भारत व नेपाल सीमा में लगने वाला प्रसिद्ध नखरूं घाट मेला मंगलवार की सायं शुरू हो जाएगा। मेला कमेटी ने सभी तैयारियां पूरी कर ली हैं। प्रशासन द्वारा मेले में शांति व सुरक्षा व्यवस्था के लिए एहतियाती कदम उठाए हैं। एसएसबी के जवान भी व्यवस्था में मुस्तैद रहेंगे। मेले में भारत के अलावा नेपाल देश से भी भारी संख्या में श्रद्धालुओं के पहुंचने का अनुमान है। क्षेत्र के लोगों की अटूट श्रद्धा का केंद्र बाबा नागार्जुन देवता रथों को सल्टा, बगौटी, जमरसों से कार्तिक पूर्णिमा को गगनभेदी जयकारों के साथ मंदिर ले जाया जाएगा। इसके साथ ही मुख्य मेला भी शुरू होगा। इसके साथ ही दर्जनों गांवों से जत्थों के आने का क्रम भी शुरू होगा। नखरूं घाट में एकादशी की रात्रि से ही भजन-कीर्तन व जागरण का क्रम शुरू हो गया था। पासम, सुल्ला, बगौटी, सल्टा, लेटी, मजपीपल, जमरसों, देवकुंडा, सुनकुरी, दिगालीचौड़, रौंसाल, मडलक, गुरेली, चामा, कमलेड़ी, पुंडिल, केलानी, सागर, रौल, गुड़मागल, आदि गांवों के साथ नेपाल के दर्जनों गांवों से श्रद्धालुओं के पहुंचने का सिलसिला शुरू हो गया है

ध्याणियों को किया आल-कलेऊं भेंट

कर्णप्रयाग। हरियाली पूड़ा मेले के दूसरे दिन नौटी के ग्रामीणों ने ध्याणियों को आल-कलेऊं भेंट किया। शुक्रवार को ध्याणियों ने घरों में मालू के पत्ते में उगाई गई जौ की हरियाली को रिंगाल की डल्लियों में रखकर मां श्रीनंदा के मंदिर पहुंची, जहां मां नंदा की पूजा-अर्चना की गई।

केदार घाटी के रविग्राम माई आयोजित बी माई कौथिग हर्ष उलास के साथ सम्पन्न हो गया है , माँ भगवती बी यानि विधाता को सुख सम्पदा और पुत्रदा के रूप मै पूजा जाता है, केदार घाटी मै यह लोक उत्सव भुत ख़ास है, इसमें १० से लेकर कभी कभी १ महीने तक जागरों का गायन कर बी यानि भगवान शिव कि पत्नी गोरा को मायके आमंत्रित किया जाता है, लोक मान्यता उसे बी यानि विधाता के रूप मै पुजती और न्योताती है, रविगाव के भरी संतोष जमलोकी द्वारा बी माई कौथिग कि कुछ दुर्लभ तस्वीरे आप सभी तक सयर कर रहा हु, आशा है आपको केदार घाटी का यह अनूठा लोक उत्सव जरुर पसनद आएगा, माँ बी भगवती आप सभी कि सद कामनाओ को पूर्ण करे ..जय माँ बी भगवती

                 Haridwar being an old religious place for Hindus, people in mass visit Haridwar every day and it is difficult to name specific temple as place for fair or festival. Every day, there is festival and fair in Haridwar.

       Specific Days for Dipping into Ganga at Haridwar

Kumbh – Kumbh is held after every twelve years as was held in 2010.
Ardh Kumbh- is held after every six years
 Ganga Dashhara – Ganga Dashhara is hel don 10th of Jeth .

Ful Sngrand- 14 March
Makar Sankranti- 14th January
Baishakhi- 14th April
Budh Purnima – May
Ganga Saptami - May
Navaratra in Dasehara – Pilgrims came to pay offers to various Devi temples
Durga Puja on Dussehra  – In October
Navratra in Ramnavami period –People come to pay offers to devi and come on ram Navami for dipping into Ganges
Shiv Ratri- Kavdiya visit this place for taking Ganges Water
Swan- Kavdiyas visit for taking Ganges Water.
Surya Grahan- whenever comes
Chandra Grahan- whenever it occurs
Every month- Ekadas, Amvashya, Purnmasi
All festivals of India are celebrated in Haridwar including Islamic, Sikh, Christians, Jain and Buddhist festivals.

   Tarpan and Pinddan –Pilgrims come to Haridwar for offering Trapan or Pinddan of their forefathers.

            Ravain is West-North part of Uttarakhand state. It touches to Tibet in north and Himachal in west. The east part of Ravain touches to east of Uttarkashi and Dehradun. The North West part of Uttarkashi and Dehradun comes under Ravain region.

            Five Types of Fairs and Festivals of Ravain Region

Badi or Nayee Dipawali- The festival is celebrated as Hindus celebrate.
Budhi Deepawali- This Deepawali is celebrated in Magsir and it has more importance than Badi Deepawali.

                 Deity related Fairs and Festivals of Specific Regions

Chalda Masu –It is a moving deity that is the idol is moved from one place to other. Chalda Masu is famous festival in whole of Tones valley including Himachal Pradesh.
Gotha Masu- the Gaddi is in Anhol
Pawasi Masu- The festival or Pujai is held in Bangan region.
Basik Masu- Babar region celebrates the deity rituals
Doriya Parv- This sport oriented ritual is held in Khund cate regions
Kamleshwar Fair- The fair is held in Kamleshwar temple at Kamal River source around Purola region.
Ramesar Devta Mela- The fair is celebrated in Rama Sarai valley at Rama village.
Maroj Fair- in Yamuna valley, below  Naugaon region (Khatal and Godar Patti), Maroj fair is celebrated on last date of Paush. Deity is Raghunath
Sinkaru Devta Mela- In between Purola and Naugaon, people of 45 villages perform a Sinkaru Nag Divta ritual on a fixed day decided by Pundit

               Mahabharata Period Fairs and Festival in Ravain

Samusa or Someshwar (Duryodhan ) Puja- Duryodhan Puja is held in Panchagai
Shed Kudiya Veer Puja – Chalda Masu is worshipped as Shed Kudiya Veer or Hanuman in Fateh Parvat region.
Karn divta Pujan- The people eof Singtur Patti perform Karna Puja time to time in Karna temple at Debra Village.
Karna Divta Puja in Naitwad- Here in Naitwad, big fair and ritual performance is held to worship Karna at karna Mandir.
Pokhu Divta- Pokhu Devta mandir is situated at conference of Rupan and Supan River. The Pujari sits opposite of Idol for ritual performance.
Bisu Puja- Bisu Festival is celebrated on vishwat Sankranti in Jaunsar, Babar, Jaunsar of Himachal, Bhutanu etc. It is abig festival everywhere in the above regions.

                 Primitive Period Fairs and Festivals of Ravain


Maun Festival- The festival is celebrated in Jeth (as per star). It is hunting Fishes festival and is more popular in Purola region.
Devrana Fair- near Naugaon in Yamuna valley, Devrana fair is held on Purnmashi of Ashadh.
Savan Bhadon ke Tyauhar- There are many estivals in sawan and Bhadon
Bakra Tyauhar- It is also called Magh Tyauhar and runs for whole month. The goat are killed in Magh Tyuhar and consumed for many months.

Yamnotri a Chardham- From May, Yamnotri temple opens till Deepawali and people come here.

 With new communications and transportability, the region started celebrating Christian new years or government owned festivals too.
