Dear Mr. Mehta,
This was when the it was called KING EDWARD VII SANTITORIUM.
In 1935 our 1ST Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru’s while Kamala Gandhi was admitted for T.B treatment.
She was attended by Dr. Prem Lal Sah & Dr. Kakkar.
Even though Kamala Gandhi later succumbed to death in Switzerland, her 6-7 months stay in Bhowali has found its place in several books and documents including the famous “ Discovery of India”.
I would thereby like to include the name of the stated doctors in your journals/ website or even in the sanatorium itself, as their names have been washed away in the course of history.
We can never undermine their dedication and professionalism at a time when the country was reeling under great imperial pressure.
