Shukra Niti Second Chapter Yuvrajadi Lakshan, 267-268
Managing the family members of The Chief Executive officer –
Managing Family members of the Boss is important especially in family run organizations as in India the organizations of the Birla, Adani, Ambani families etc.
Many times, family members are an important medium for creating a perception –might be positive or negative.
In many cases, the family members of the owner are also employees of the organization and the staff usually high level managers have to deal with such employees carefully.

Don’t let happen such work that is harmful to the citizens but is beneficial to the King. By new taxes, the citizens become sad.
(Shukra Niti Second Chapter Yuvrajadi Lakshan, 273)
This stanza of Shukra Neeti is very much relevant to the present politicians and business executives
The politicians and bureaucrats should make a note that the governing bodies should add newer taxes only when there is no alternative to adding the taxes. The new tax should not be added for the benefits of the political classes and bureaucrats
Same way, the business executives especially the Chief Executive Officers should not increase the customer price or distributor’s price for additional profits of the organization.

 तत्पदे तस्य कुलजं गुणयुक्तं पुरोहित: II  275
  प्रकृत्यनुमतिं कृत्वा स्थापयेत राज्यगुप्तये I
(Shukra Niti Second Chapter Yuvrajadi Lakshan, 274 -275)
Translation-
If by help of his characteristics and (good) qualities, the King starts following wrong paths (destructive and very harmful to the nation, even though, he might be from elite family /genes, such a king should be dismissed. The Purohit Priest should select a capable king among ministers and crown the said person as king.
(Shukra Niti Second Chapter Yuvrajadi Lakshan, 274 -275)
There is no need to explain that many times, it is necessary to replace the Chief executive officer or to dismiss the CEO.
For example, today (September 2020) it is necessary for the Congress Working Committee to dismiss Congress President Sonia Gandhi immediately as Congress did in the past by dismissing Sitarm Kesari from President post.
Before dismissing the CEO, it is not to be seen that the person belongs to an elite family but it is analysed how much the present CEO damages the organization and the image.
The authorities of the organization should fire /dismiss the CEO on following situations-
CEO does not fit with the present requirement –
Many times, due to passing the time, the CEO becomes irrelevant for the present competitive situation and should be fired. For example, in the 1914 General Election, Bhartiya Janta Party chose Narendra Modi as Prime Minister Candidate by discarding Lal Krishna Advani. The reason was obvious that Advani was irrelevant in the new circumstances.
The CEO must have the right package of ‘skill, values, and capabilities’ for building the leadership team for the organization.
If the CEO does not fit in the right package, the CEO must be terminated that is CEO does not deliver -
Required performances
Relationship issues
Lack of key skills
Alienating management system
Mismanaging Changes
Denying reality /ignoring customers
Does not fulfil promises
Scandal
When the CEO fails to support the values of the Organization-
When the CEO does not care about the care values of the organization and follows the wrong path that might be dangerous for the image and survival of the organization .In those circumstances, the CEO must be dismissed.
However, it is tough to dismiss CEO especially family run business or family run organizations as in Political circles Congress, Samajvadi parties etc.
Before dismissing the present CEO the organization should have the option for appointing the new  CEO.

The CEOs should behave differently with people as per time, and class. The CEO has to play the different role for the different works.

For the experienced persons and scholars, the chief Executive Officer  is as the full moon of the autumn season; for the competitors, the Chief Executive Officer is as the burning sun of the summer season; and for the customers and employees, the Chief Executive Officer is as the spring season.  Using humour in discussion or normal tasks are  one aspect of life but the chief executive officer busting ugly jokes or outrageous jokes with the employees is liked by none. The employees take such CEOs as non-serious or weak bosses. Many times, the staff take the CEO as friend and disobey, or take disadvantage too.

When the King starts participating in the low level amusement with the employees or starts joking or /low level jokes, the employees disobey the king by providing by logical and illogical reasons. Many times, those employees take non edible food (as hemp etc. before the King) and they do not behave as per the status of the King, though, that is required. Those employees open the secrets of the king and Kingdom before others. They also put on the dress of the king . They always deceive the King and provoke the king to use his mistresses. When the King is angry, those employees make fun of the King and embarrass   the King. Those employees disobey the King by all means.
(Shukra Niti Second Chapter Yuvrajadi Lakshan, 287- 290)
The chief executive officer should have good relation with the staff but should not have too much informal relation with the staff.  Friendly relations does not mean the CEO bust ugly jokes with the staff. By too much informal relations with the staff makes many difficulties for the chief executive officer.
