Translation
In many regions or countries, the knowledgeable should use the numbers in some places; in some places weight and gauge; in some places only weight and in some places only quantity and some places numbers.

  This practice of using different methods for measurement are still in practice  in different regions in India .For example, in some places, fruits are sold by numbers and in some regions fruits are sold by weighing. Same is the case for measuring betel nuts. In some places, oil, milk are sold by volume and in some cases by weight.  In some cases, sand is sold by piles and not by weight.  Still in the hills of Uttarakhand the unit for measuring the agricultural land is seeds sown in the field and not by Beegha or acres. Forests are sold on contract either by measuring area or counting trees.

Translation
The measurement by fingers or hand is called ‘Unman’. The measurement by wood containers is called Pariman’ and counting is called ‘Sankhya’ (Number). The King should direct for measurement as per customs of the region.

For people’s uses, the making of coins by the casting of silver, gold and copper are called material. Dravya /material is from Kauri to Gems. While, the animals, grains, clothes and grasses are called wealth. The king decides the value of a matter in terms of gold coins

Translation –
 The owner should not delay in paying salaries to the staff.  Apart from the salary, the owner should pay the additional remuneration to the staff  for raising his parents. The salary by which parents are raised is called Madhya or middle type of salary and the salary by which other people are also raised is called Shreshtha Bhriti  (Top most salary  ) and the salary by which the staff could raise himself is called ‘Heena (lowest type) bhriti .
