(The King should understand that) a person is can be friend with such men of the same age, behavior, learning, caste, vices and means of occupation.

For applying Sama(peace) with a friend, a person should tell, “no one is such a friend as you are.”

For applying Dana (Gift) strategy with a friend, the words are to be said, “All my goods are yours, even my life”

For using Bheda (partition) strategy with a friend, the words to be said, “I or other friends are having merits than you”

For using Danda (Punishment) strategy with the friend, these words are the best, “If you do such and such thing I shall not be your friend”

(Shukra Niti Fifth Chapter Mitra -Amitra Lakshan-26-28)

The CEO must Apply Peace, Gifting, Partitioning, and Punishment Strategies with friends and with the employees-
