Irrigation plays great role in making the region or place prosperous and thus making it famous.
Gweel (Dwarikhal Block, Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, Himalaya India ) is a small village (around 122 population today. Due to migration the village is called desert village now. However, before independence, the population was higher around 200 -250.
The village is surrounded by rivulets from all directions. The villagers constructed mud canals for irrigation from rivulets. Due to irrigation facilitation by villagers , the village became prosperous and became famous in the region.
