Phrases used in any language make it more impressive, be it Hindi, English etc. Uttarakhandi dialects kumoani & garhwali are also rich many such short phrases where people phrases use in day today life.

We have collected some list of some short phrases which are used during  conversation by the people . Like.  “Khawar Pad gayee” (It means if someone incur loss in any  business or his / her purchase get defeats then this Phrase is used).

"गाव-गाव आ गयी" = यानी बहुत ज्यादे मुशीबत आना !

गाव के मतलब - गर्दन तक - पानी गर्दन तक आ गया...

I would like to add a few more :

Kafri Jaan- When a person is not in position due to sudden attack by animal or lost sense after consuming Bhang etc.

I belive this word is also used when a person has to take action in friction of second due to pre-occupying of mind due to various commitments, he / she comes in a state of mind that finally person does not respond. 

In pahadi dialect, Kafri Jaan word is used for this specially in kumoani dialect.

Mundi Futi / Khwar Futi.

People use this word when something is lost or some loss is occured.
