Maan: A unit to measure Liquid thinks...especially milk......

1 Maan= 250ml approxx.....


Naai: A unit to measure Grains..like dhaan,gew, chaaow....

1 Nai= 250 Gm approx


Nai: A wooden bucket used for making Mathha(Chhaa)

Thyek: A wooden half bucket..used for keeping curd(dahi)

Dhandyaav: A wodden box used for keepin all those milk products....

Kantar: Kanaster(Jisme tell aata hai yaar)....derived from Container

Gagraas: A foood made up of new grains(either gehu or dhaan)..Given to cattles on Sankranti or on some auspicious occasion

Pait: days of solar month...used in our pahaad for daily activities....

Sankraant: When Pait==1

Janwe: Jamaii(son-in-law)
bwaari : bahu(sistre in law)
Pwaath: children..generally used for bird's children..but some time older people sayz to their granchildren "myar pothaa..tyer balle lyuuhn"
Sain: wife
sainmesh: woman
bag: husband
bag-mesh: man
jyeti: a three-legg iron chulha type
Ron: A cookin area..in which jyeti is placed..used for generally chapaties and heatin water
Rishyaa: a cookin area..no jyeti..hand made chulha.generally for rice....The person should be brahmin..and with only 1 clothes on his/her body...this is ritual

Janyo: (Janeoo..Yagopavit...a sacred thread)
barband: (Janeoo ritual)
Grahjaag: (grahyaag...done a day b4 marriage..or a day b4 janeoo)
batoo: (a person whoz goin to be wear sacred thread..or main character of yagopaweet ceremony)
kooni: (a plate type made up of brass to collect water after blowing sankh )


Kooch: a hand made jhaadoo
patkan: The front side of house..or coutyard
nayo: left out after beatin wheat or rice plants(after cuttin)..used to made loot
dabov: a tool to beat wheat plants for extracting grains from them
Patyaal: fallen leaves
sutar: a bed(made up by patyaal ) like used for cattles in goth
dhoot: (a lenghted vessel type for feeding oxes)
zoo: a tool used around 2 oxes while plouging..connected with each other..and zoo also can be connected with hau and moy

Nashyuud: (a part of plough device(hal))..lowe r part wich is used to dig out the soil
Oh well when talk is bout Khet(field)
Let me introduce some other words
Belchh: (A device used for surfacing)
Moy: (Used after Hau(hal) to surface the waater in ropaaai)
poot : (Rice plants..roped after moy)
bee: (a ccollection of poot)..some times used for grains also
bin: (Where poot are produced )
faddu: (used for digging soil while standing..different from boss and kutyal)
dael: (used to contract solid soil)..some time used for solid soil itself..used in oct-nov season
putaaar: (person who ropes poot)
ghsyaar: (one who cut grass)
luaar: (person dealin with iron work)
