As you are aware Merapahad Community has taken an initiative to visit the land-slide, cloudburst hit areas of Uttarkahand. On 03 Oct 2010, Merapahad Team along with some social workers from Almora visited different villages in Almora and donated the basic commodities like Kambal, one month Rashan and stationary for children etc to the affected people.

We appreciate & thanks to many people who extended their support for the victims. It was a little help which was provided but there is need to do such larger scale to bring smile back on the face of natural calamity victims. I am sure more people will come forward and help the victims by donating many through social groups, CM relief fund or by visiting the areas personally. This is the need of the hour.

Merapahad Team now will visit to Tehri Garwal on 11 Oct 2010 and donate groceries & other relief fund to the victims. Team will be joined by some social groups at Dehradoon.

In the next phase, "Kambals" will be distributed in Munsiyari to 31 affected families. Mr M N Bhatt, famous builder of Uttarakhand soil in Mumbai, has donated Rs 25,000/- for the victims.


आपदा की इस घडी में देश और खासकर उत्तराखंड के लोगो आगे आना चाहिए और प्रभावित लोगो की मदद करनी चाहिए!

जुगराज रैया मेरापहाड़ टीम और समाज में इस प्रकार की सोच रखने वाले लोग! मेरा नमन आप सब लोगो को!

क्या होगा इस पहाड़ का! कभी अपनों ने ही छोड़ा और कभी कुदरत ने तोडा! एक तरफ पलायन और रोजगारी मी मार झेल रहा उत्तराखंड राज्य इस बार कुदरत के मार झेल रहा है! जहाँ एक और लोगो के पास घर नहीं है खुले आसमान, स्कूल भवनों, पंचायत घरो में लोग रात बिता रहे है वही दूसरी और राजनीतिक दल आपस झगड़ कर इस आपदा मे भी राजनीतिक लाभ उठाना चाह रहे है!

आप भी मेरी तरह शायद विकास की आश करते रहे होंगे, शायद बहुत दूर वही विकास जिसके लिए उत्तराखंड राज्य का जनम हुवा!

मे और भी दुखी हूँ आपदा के इस घडी में भी कुछ सामाजिक संगठन को सिर्फ नाच गाने ही दिखाई दे रहे है! जहाँ लोग लाखो रूपये सिर्फ "जागरण, कौथिक और अन्य प्रोग्रामो में खर्च कर रहे है, वही दूर उनके पैत्रिक गावो में उनके भाई, बहिनों और अपनों के पास खाने के लिए भोजन और रहने के लिए घर नहीं! सरकारी तंत्र सिर्फ राजनीती और केंद्र से पैसा मागने में व्यस्त है, राष्टीय नेता और मीडिया सिर्फ हवाई दौरों में ब्यस्त है!

जागो, अपने से भी पूछो, हमारा कुछ सामाजिक दयातिव भी है! न केवल नाचना और गाना!

मे जरुर भाविक हूँ लेकिन मेरी बाते सही न कही आपको इस घडी में क्या करना चाहिए इसके बारे में सोचने के लिए मजबूर करंगे!

मेरापहाड़ टीम का दूसरा चरण का आपदा प्रभावितों के लिए राहत कार्य ११ अक्टूबर को टिहरी जिले में शुरू होगा जिनमे से कुछ गाव जैसे चोरिगाव, कोटा गाव आदि!

हमारे टीम के सदस्य चारू तिवारी जी, दयाल पाण्डेय जी, पी एस महर जी, स्थानीय विधायक किशोर उपाध्याय जी और अन्य सदस्य देहरादून से टिहरी पहुंच चुके है!

Latest :

Team started work in Budakot, Chori gav and in some other places. This is a relief work and a visit for affected so that groceries and other items can be sent from Dehradoon to these areas.
