Dear Friends,
First of all we must understand that general elections are near, so, each party has to gear up itself to be in limelight. What better than mudslinging. General public does get fooled by such moderated political campaigns.
1. Does the national political parties have guts to table their report with facts and figures and then let a non-political think tank take a fair view.
2. The worst that happened with Uttarakhand is total control of national parties with national agenda minus local issues.
3. These national parties are controlled from Delhi by high command and each decision is taken in its unique way.
4. Unfortunately, UKD, the only regional party did not get that support and by their functioning, it is unlikely to come in power.
5. If, a regional party is strong, then, national parties decisions can not be thrust upon the state.
6. Uttarakhand has seen BJP and Congress elected governance minus the default BJP govt. that ruled in buffer period after separation from UP.
7. Only one last chance remains with the citizens of Uttarakhand. Elect, i repeat elect a regional party, and bring them in majority, for once.
8. If not then a five year standard rotation of BJP and Congress governance will continue, and over the period of time, same game will repeat.
9. Public will crib, politicians from national parties will have a hearty laugh, and by then endless blogs and emails would have been exchanged, bringing the same issues, again and again.
So, i appeal the citizens of Uttarakhand to think and act now, or it will be never. Dreams will remain dreams. They will never become reality. I sometime wonder, what did i get as a participant of civil movement for a separate hill state of Uttarakhand. Nothing but one reality that development is far away than imagined.
