Dosto,

It has been over 9 yrs since the Uttarakhand state came in existence but one of the biggest problems still continues in Hill area i.e. migration. However, State Govt always claims there is drastic change in migration rate.

Now it we the people who can give the correct picture of the situation. So we would request you kindly cast vote in this poll and give details.

In my opinion, the migration rate has increased manifold. If i give an example my village and entire area, in recent past atleast 5-6 members are migrating from there. Situation is similiar in others ares too.

The main reason in find behind this is employment, education and lack of basic amenties.  You will only old age mostly in village areas who will be always narrating their grief.

This is a very important question why the migration rate, even after the Uttrakhand has got its autonomy, has increased.  The answer is because of the poor policies of the Govt. and the ignorance of the govt towards improving th situation in the areas where it really requires i.e. like in my village as I have seen and am seeing that for the last 30 years not a single road has been constructed and a road which links betwen Bhikyasen and Vinayak is never completed and it is always a kaccha road.  But what I think in papers, it is a pakka road and the officials sitting their might be eating money.  Secondly, employment opporutnities are very less. So people has to run or migrate to cities as you can find many Paharis working in Different states.  Another anybody can buy or purchase a land which has to be stopped but not yet.  Again this is going to be a curse on Uttranchal.  In toto or en somme, I must say that since there are no educational, employment, medical, or any kind of basic amenities in Uttranchal because of Poor government, the people are forced to migrate.

Joshi Ji,

I fully endorse your views.  I fail to understand from where I start my views on the present scenario at UK.  I think we should give a nick name to this State either “Aandolan State or Problem Packed State”. In every there sector there is problem.

We are nowhere in development in UK. The Khadancha, gool (for irrigation) have been becoming there since intendance and are still continuing. This is the development only.

If I take the case of road connectivity, we have not able to connect our village with road after going pillar to post for the last 8 yrs. Our Road proposal is running a marathon on paper only.

Many Leaders have tried to give the state a new name “Urja Pradeesh”.. ha ha ha .. 16 hours power cut there in hill areas.

Education front … There are school in hill areas without teachers and whosoever teaching staff are there, they always take a opportunity for transfer.

गिर्दा ने राज्य आन्दोलन के दौरान बागरस्योक गीत गाया था, उसकी कुछ पंक्तियां थी, जिसमें भविष्य के उत्तराखण्ड के निर्माण का खाका खींचा गया था-

लेकिन राज्य बनने के ९ साल बाद भी पलायन बदस्तूर जारी है, गांव के गांव खाली हो रहे हैं। कहीं पर पानी के कारण, कहीं पर रोजगार के कारण। लेकिन नीति नियन्ता सो रहे हैं....पता नहीं कब जगेंगे।
अगर राज्य में समेकित और नियोजित विकास नीति के तहत काम किया जाता तो कुछ होता।
