Proposal For Train Till Bageshwar - टनकपुर से बागेश्वर तक रेल लाईन का प्रस्ताव

Dear Members,
You must have heard about this propsal. Actually, there is a proposal to make railway track from Tanakpur to Bageshwar which has been sactioned by the Railway Dept of Govt of India.
However, after the saction of this propsal, no work has been progress since last 2 yrs.
I would like to know your views that has Govt of Uttarakhand any role to play this regard ?

Amognst 28 new lines sactioned during Railway Budet 2007-2008. This track is at No 8.
102. A number of surveys have been taken up in the last two years. 65 surveys have already been completed. The remaining surveys are in various stages of progress. A large number of demands are continuously being received for taking up new projects, which are difficult to be fulfilled in the present scenario with large shelf of projects and limited resources. However, based on demands, following surveys are proposed to be taken up:

1. Prantik-Siuri
2. Murkongselek-Pasighat
3. Kusheshwarsthan-Saharsa
4. Gunjaria-Gazole
5. Loharu-Bhiwani
6. Rama Mandi-Maur Mandi via Talwandi Saheb
7. Khurja-Raya new line via Mat, Surir, Bajna
8. Tanakpur-Bageshwar
9. Rail link to Tonk - Devli
10. Anupgarh to Kolayat via Khajuwala
11. Khammam to Podattur
12. Edapally-Guruvayur
13. Sabarimala-Chenganur
14. Nagapattinam-Thirucheraipundi
15. Erode-Satyamanglam
16. Talguppa-Honavar
17. Sivok-Rangpo
18. Kalyan-Ahmedanagar
19. Lohna-Muktapur via Alinagar, Trimuhani, Bahedi, Shivajinagar
20 Sitamarhi-Jayanagar via Sursand, Bhithamod
21 Bhagwanpur –Samastipur via Mahua , Patepur, Tajpur

I feel this need strong representation from State side as well our leaders in Centre then only work on this can be execuated.
During a recent visit of Laloo prasad yadav in Uttarakhand, Kaushani area. He had assured to the people that work will start on this soon but no gain.
