Rudarpur and Haridwar are becoming Uttarakhand becoming prominent Industerial area. A lot of big companies have shown interests to set up a plants in these two regions. This is infact a good sign for Uttarakhand that people are investing in our state. India big company like TATA, Hero Honda etc have already set up thier plant in UK. There are many companies which are coming forward.
But the question is that how many Uttarakhandi are getting job their and how many wish to go there. I have seen many people are who are moving either Rudarpur or Haridwar. Our state people are still wondering for job in other state.

Independent production hubs from Tata Motor in Uttarakhand
Tata Motors, India's largest vehicle maker, is considering the creation of independent production hubs that will focus on making different vehicles at different locations.The company has a market share of 31.2% in the multi-utility vehicles segment and 6.4% in the luxury car segment. Worldwide it is ranked among the top ten in the manufacture of vehicles in the range of 5-15 tonnes. It manufactures heavy commercial vehicles (HCV), light commercial vehicles (LCV), passenger cars and multi-utility vehicles.
After causing an unprecedented stir in the auto world last week with the Nano,Tata's cheapest car ever, the 75-year-old company is looking towards reorganising its manufacturing operation to facilitate expansion and to streamline quality, reliability and ensure specialisation of skills and expertise of all businesses under one roof.
Tata Motors plans to shift its Ace unit from Pune to Rudrapur in Uttarakhand to free up over 5 acres in Pune to ramp up production of new generational vehicles and SUVs like the Sumo, Safari and Indica. Also Nano, that had initally been planned to roll out from Singur,will come out of the new venue in Uttarakhand, Pantnagar.
Tata Motors plans to shift its Ace unit from Pune to Rudrapur in Uttarakhand to free up over 5 acres in Pune to ramp up production of new generational vehicles and SUVs like the Sumo, Safari and Indica. New location of Rudrapur makes the sub-tonne light commercial vehicles like Ace and Magic.
This is a clear departure from the company's long established philosophy of the integrated facility where it had the commercial vehicle and passenger vehicle production lines in the same unit.
Although the company had been mulling over the creation of independent hubs for some time now, union issues due to benching some employees at its Pune unit forced them to temporarily shelve the plan. Mumbai-based Enam Securities forecasts a subdued growth in the medium and heavy commercial vehicle segment as a result of increase in lending rates and tight availability of finance.
Analysts champion Tata's move to create independent hubs as it would result in scale benefits for common overheads and also help in expansion of product lines

The state government is taking all possible steps to promote the state as a religious & adventure tourism destination, with an eye on the industrial growth. The industrial belts and SEZs are being developed in and around Dehradun, Rudrapur, Haridwar, etc to encourage rapid and irreversible overall development of the state.
Rudrapur: A Star Industrial Hub
Rudrapur is a small and a beautiful city in the Udham Singh Nagar District in Uttrakhand and is known as “The Gateway to Kumaon Hills”. Rudrapur’s ascendance as a star industrial hub and a modern urban center has been prompted by economic, demographic and geographic factors, and the centre s tax holiday for industries is giving a boast to this development. These factors have combined in making Rudrapur one of the hottest real estate markets today.
Economic Incentives: -The rush in real estate developments is primarily the result of tax and economic incentives announced by the central and state governments to prompt industrial growth. The latest scramble has been triggered by the declaration of Rudrapur as a non-tariff area for central excise, custom and sales tax duties for a period of 10 years. This span may also be extended by the central government. This has prompted industry players to set up big plants here. And, numerous corporate houses have already gained a foothold here. Companies that begin production before a cut off date and are in the notified industrial areas were offered 100% excise exemption for 10 years, 100 % income tax exemption for the first 5 years and 30% for the following 5 years. They have been offered concessional central sales tax of 1% for 5 years and a capital investment subsidy of 15% with a cap of Rs. 30 lakh. The total expected employment generation would be around 44000 in SIDCUL alone.
This Uttrakhand town in the plains is emerging as one of the fastest growing industrial spots in the country with big Indian and Multinational companies of the likes of Nestle, Tata, Britannia, Dabur, Honda, Bajaj, Parle, Jindal, Mahindra & Mahindra and Voltas, to name a few, investing over Rs. 30000 crore. With around 400 companies expected to start operations in the next one-year alone, Rudrapur is poised to be the new industrial hub of India
Infrastructure & Connectivity: - Infrastructure has been a big draw at Rudrapur. Unlike most of the towns and cities in India, infrastructure is not a cause for concern. There is no dearth of Electricity or Water. Moreover, electricity rates are the lowest in the country and you can get water by digging not even 5 feet. To further consolidate its position on power the government has planned 10 power projects at a cost of Rs. 800 crore.
Connectivity is good as the town is situated on the Delhi – Nainital Highway (NH – 74) and Khatima – Panipat Highway (NH – 87). Four laning of roads from Delhi to Rampur is under way and Rampur to Rudrapur highway is also proposed to be widened. Even Bareilly to Moradabad road is being four laned. The Rampur to Kathgodam rail route is proposed to be double lined. Rudrapur is conveniently connected by Air with the Pantnagar airport in the vicinity. The airport is being renovated to enable Boeings and ATRs to land and also to enable night landing facility. The government is also working on improving the infrastructure and connectivity especially around the industrial belts.
Residential Solutions: - The private sector is shouldering most of the responsibility as far as the housing solutions are concerned. There are more than 50 real estate developers trying to satisfy the growing organized housing requirements apart from the already existing colonies. And, Alliance Nirmaan is the largest stakeholder of the Rudrapur housing market. The rental values here are very high, and in some locations they are much higher than in the Metros.
