श्रीनगर (पौड़ी गढ़वाल)। कांग्रेस के प्रदेश महासचिव योगेन्द्र खंडूड़ी ने स्थायी राजधानी चयन के लिए जनमत संग्रह कराये जाने पर जोर दिया है। उन्होंने कहा कि आगामी लोक सभा के आम चुनाव में राजधानी के सवाल पर जनता की राय ली जा सकती है।
यहां पत्रकारों से वार्ता करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि किसी भी सवाल के समाधान तक पहुंचने के लिए जनसहभागिता सबसे बड़ा और मजबूत आधार होता है। कांग्रेस के प्रदेश महासचिव ने कहा कि फिजिबिलिटी और व्यवहारिक मानकों के अनुकूल ही देश में विभिन्न राज्यों की राजधानियां बनाई गयी हैं। कम से कम खर्च पर राजधानी के लिए आधारभूत ढांचा खड़ा करना भी जरूरी है। खंडूड़ी ने कहा कि उत्तराखण्ड में राजधानी का मुद्दा प्रारम्भ से ही एक राजनीतिक मुद्दा बन चुका है। राजनीतिक दल और संगठन अक्सर अपने स्वार्थ के अनुसार इस मुद्दे को उछालते रहे हैं जबकि किसी राज्य की राजधानी का मुद्दा अतिसंवेदनशील होता है। उन्होंने कहा कि अंतिम रिपोर्ट सरकार को सौंपने से पूर्व राजधानी चयन आयोग को इस सम्बन्ध में कोई वक्तव्य भी नहीं देना चाहिए।

Uttarakhand likely to shift Capital
New Delhi (PTI): The BJP-led government in Uttarakhand was looking into the possibility of shifting the capital from Dehradun and was consulting experts in the process.
"The state capital should be convenient for people of the entire state. It should have proper infrastructure and should be geologically safe also," Uttarakhand Chief Minister B C Khanduri said at a press conference here on Thursday.
"We have engaged a group of experts to look into this (shifting of the capital) and let is see what is there," he said.
"We will go by the scientific assessment and viability as we have to see what is geologically viable as the state is prone to natural disasters like earthquakes also," the chief minister added.
Political parties, including allies in the state government, have been seeking a change in the capital.
Khanduri said the state government was working towards strengthening the teaching and learning of Sanskrit in the state.
"We have already created a separate department and would recruit more teachers by giving them better pay packages," he said.
Private schools are also being roped in, he said adding "the difference will be visible within the next six months".

If Uttarakhand Govt is planning to shift the existing capital to somewhere in hill area, this is indeed a good step. But i feel Gairsain is the ideal location for this, as this place is centure of both kumoan and garwal region and would have a easy access to people also. Secondly, Garisain was the proposed place for capital even during the struggle period of uttarakhand. A lot of people of ours had sacrified their lives for this. So Govt must consider this place for the capital.

उत्तराखंड की स्थायी राजधानी के बारे में अभी अंतिम फैसला नहीं हुआ .ंखंडूरी
नयी दिल्ली 15 नवंबर .ं भाषा .ं उत्तराखण्ड की स्थायी राजधानी के बारे में अभी कोई अंतिम फैसला नहीं हुआ है। उसके स्थान भौगोलिक परिस्थितियों लागत और आधारभूत ढांचे के बारे में अभी विचार विमर्श चल रहा है।
खण्डूरी ने आज यहां संवाददाताओं को बताया कि राज्य की स्थायी राजधानी के उसके स्थान उसकी भौगोलिक परिस्थितियां
निर्माण में आने वाले खर्च और आधारभूत ढांचे के लिए न्यायूमूर्ति विरेंद्र दीक्षित आयोग गठित किया गया था। उसकी अवधि समाप्त हो गयी थी अब उसका कार्यकाल का छह महीने और बढा दिया गया है। उन्होंने कहा कि अगले वर्ष अप्रैल तक रिपोर्ट इस आयोग की रिपोर्ट मिलने की संभावना है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने एक प्रश्न के उत्तर में खण्डूरी ने कहा कि रिपोर्ट मिलने के बाद राज्य के सभी प्रमुख राजनीतिक दलों के प्रतिनिधियों के साथ विचार विमर्श किया जायेगा और आम सहमति के द्वारा ही राज्य की स्थायी राजधानी के बारे में कोई अंतिम फैसला लिया जायेगा।
एक अन्य प्रश्न के उत्तर में खंडूरी ने कहा कि राज्य की स्थायी राजधानी ऐसे स्थान पर होगी जहां के पूरे राज्य के लोग आसानी से अपनी समस्याओं को लेकर आ सकें। किसी को भी आने जाने में अधिक परेशानी नहीं उठानी पड़ेगी।
खण्डूरी ने कहा कि पिछले आठ महीने के शासनकाल के दौरान जबावदेही एवं पारदर्शी नीति के तहत कई मितव्ययी कदम उठाये गये जिनके अच्छे परिणाम धीरे धीरे सामने आ रहे है।
