Dear frinends,
Our state has very much Geographical and social deversities, in such a scenario what is the ideal lay out plan for industrial development of the state.  We cant set up big Industries in hills though, looking into the unemployment in the state, we need big industries to accomodate our young, talented and qualified youths.
I think in the hills the small industries related or cottage industries consuming local products may be set up.
We may set up big industries in plains and tarai reason.  But the agriculture field may not be ignored and the set up of industry and commercialisation must be not at the cost of agricultural land.

Joshi Ji,

I endorse your views. In view of geographical condition is difficult to set up big industries in hill areas.

Rajesh JI,

One of the income main sources for UK Govt is from tourism  . We should explore some more ways and means in order to promote tourism further. So that Govt as well as people of Uttarakhand can be benefited from it.

As regards of coming up any big industry in hill area, harly very people would like to invest there in view of transportation and other geographical reasons.

We can also have those industries where geography does not matter e.g. Software Industry. Recently there was a survey conducted by a one software big house about the feasability of putting their remote data center in UK and they found lot of problems there. Some of them were

1. Lack of political will.
2. lack of good resourse pool..
3. Lack of infrastructure.

I think resource pool can be developed by opening some good collages in Hills. For IT industry the main infrastructure is online connectivity and that can also be created. If we have a good connectivity then remote data center can be open in any geographical area. If people from hills can serve at good positions in various software houses why cant they serve in their home state...BUT yes we require political will to do so.

Definitely we require the political will. But I personally think that we can have some small scale industries first so that the rural youth of Uk can have some earning.
