               सन 1880 में मूवी कैमरा का अन्वेषण हुआ और तभी से मूवी फिल्मो का प्रचलन भी शुरू हुआ.फ्रांस की लुमिरे कम्पनी ने १८९५ में प्रथम मूवी फिल्म प्रदर्शित की। फिल्मों ने प्रत्येक समाज की कला, साहित्य, धर्म, दर्शन, मनोविज्ञान , विज्ञान को प्रभावित किया. भारत में प्रथम मूक फिल्म दादा फाल्के कृत  'राजा हरिश्चंद्र ' है तो प्रथम वाक् फिल्म 'आलम आरा' है.

  फिल्म बनाने में कई तकनीकों, रचनाधर्मिताओं व  वित्तीय संसाधनों की संगठनात्मक जंक जोड़ की आवश्यकता ही नही पड़ती अपितु फिल्म निर्माताओं को सिनेमा प्रदर्शन के कई जटिल समस्याओं से भी जूझना पड़ता है। यही कारण है कि गढ़वाली- कुमाउनी जैसी फ़िल्में मूवी चित्रों की आने के बाद भी सौ साल तक नही आ पाई। गढवाली-कुमाउनी जैसी भाषाओं की कुछ मूलभूत समस्याएं हैं -दर्शकों का एक जगह ना हो कर देस विदेशों में बिखरा होना, फिल्म निर्माण व्यय व फिल्म प्रदर्शन विक्री में जमीन आसमान का अन्तर। यह एक सास्त्व सत्य है कि गढ़वाली -कुमाउनी फिल्म निर्माता को फिल्म लाभ हेतु नही अपितु सामाजिक कार्य हेतु फिल्म बनानी पड़ती है। यंहा तक कि उत्तराखंडी ऐलबम निर्माता घाटे में रहते हैं और तथाकथित वितरक ही मुनाफ़ा कमाते हैं। फिर सरकारी वित्तीय सहायता का कोई ठोस प्रवाधान ना तो उत्तर प्रदेस में  था ना ही कोई प्रेरणा दायक स्थानीय भाषाई फ़िल्म निर्माण नीति उत्तराखंड राज्य में है.  यही कारण है कि मूवी के अन्वेषण के सौ साल बाद ही प्रथम उत्तराखंडी फिल्म गढ़वाली भाषाई फिल्म 'जग्वाळ' सन १९८३ में ही प्रदर्शित हो सकी।  ५ मई  १९८३ का दिन उत्तराखंड के लिए एक यादगार दिन है जिस दिन प्रथम  उत्तराखंड फिल्म  'जग्वाळ' प्रदर्शित हुयी।     
  प्रथम उत्तराखंडी फिल्म गढ़वाली भाषाई फिल्म 'जग्वाळ' निर्माण व प्रदर्शन का पूरा श्रेय गढवाली के नाट्य  शिल्पी पाराशर गौड़ को जाता है.
 गढ़वाली की दूसरी  फिल्म बिन्देश नौडियाल की 'कभी सुख कभी दुःख ' सन १९८५ में प्रदर्शित हुयी थी।  यह फिल्म गढ़वाली चलचित्र इतिहास का एक काला अध्याय ही माना जायेगा। इस फिल्म में पहाड़ों मे डाकू घोड़ों में दौड़ना व भीभत्स  हास्य दिखाया  गया था। 

१९८६ साल उत्तराखंडी फिल्मो के लिए प्रोत्साही वर्ष रहा है।

सन १९८६ में मुंबई के उद्यमी विशेश्वर नौटियाल द्वारा निर्मित , तरन तारण के निर्देशन में 'घर जंवै' फिलम बौण। यह  फिल्म कई मायनों में एक सफल फिल्म मानी जाती है।

सन १९८६ में शिव नारायण रावत निर्मित और तुलसी घिमरे निर्देशित गढ़वाली फिल्म 'प्यारो रुमाल' प्रदर्शित हुयी।

इस साल जय देव शील निर्मित व चरण सिंह चौहान निर्देशित फिल्म 'कौथिक' दर्शकों को देखने मिली

इसी वर्ष बद्री आशा फिल्म्स के बैनर के तहत सुरेन्द्र बिष्ट की निर्मित व निर्देशित गढ़वाली फिल्म 'उदंकार' प्रदर्शित हुयी। स्मरण रहे कि सुरेन्द्र सिंह बिष्ट ने कई गढवाली वीडियो ऐल्बम भी निर्मित किये.

 
 
 उत्तराखंडी फिल्मों में सन १९ ८७ का अपना महत्व है इस साल कुमाउनी भाषा की प्रथम फिल्म जीवन बिष्ट निर्मित 'मेघा आ' प्रदर्शित हुयी। 'मेघा आ' का निर्देशन काका शर्मा का था।

सन १ ९ ९ ० में किशन  पटेल निर्मित सोनू पंवार दिग्दर्शित गढ़वाली फिल्म 'रैबार' प्रदर्शित हुयी।

सन १ ९ ९२ में सीताराम भट्ट निर्मित 'बंटवारो' गढ़वाली फिल्म दर्शकों के सामने आयी।   

उर्मि नेगी द्वारा निर्मित और चरण सिंह चौहान निर्देशित गढ़वाली फिल्म 'फ्यूंळी' सन १९९३ में रिलीज हुयी।

सन १९९६  में ग्वाल दम्पति ने चन्द्र ठाकुर के निर्देशन में 'बेटी' फिल्म निर्मित की।

सन १९९७ में नरेंद्र गुसाईं व नरेंद्र खन्ना रचित फिल्म 'चक्रचाळ' फिल्म रिलीज हुयी थी।

महावीर नेगी निर्देशित व सूर्य प्रकाश शर्मा निर्मित गढ़वाली  फिल्म 'ब्वारि ह्वाऊ त इनि ह्वाउ'  सन १९९८ में प्रदर्शित हुयी।

महावीर नेगी निर्देशन में  दूसरी फिल्म 'सत मंगऴया। भी बनी थी।

रामी बौराणी की प्रसिद्ध कथा-कविता पर आधारित सावित्री रावत और सुशिल बब्बर निर्देशित गढ़वाली फिल्म  'गढ़रामी बौराणी' ने सन २००१ दर्शकों को लुभाया।

२००२ में अविनाश पोखरियाल द्वारा  'किस्मत' निर्मित-प्रदर्शित गढ़वाली फिल्म  अपने समय की सबसे मंहगी फिल्म मानी जाती है।

बलविंदर निर्मित गढ़वाली फिल्म 'जीतू बगड्वाळ' सन  २००३ में रिलीज हुयी।

उत्तराखंड आन्दोलन के  रामपुर तिराहा काण्ड घटना पर आधारित बहु प्रचारित गढ़वाली फिल्म 'तेरी सौं' (२००३ )के  निर्माता अनिल जोशी है और निर्देशक अनुज जोशी।

आर्श  मलिक प्रोडक्सन ने 'चल कखि दूर जौला' गढ़वाली फिल्म  २००३ में प्रदर्शित की।

महेश्वरी फिल्म की 'औंसी की रात ' गढ़वाली फिल्म २००४ में रिलीज हुयी।
 
सन २००४ में उत्तरांचल फिल्म्स की प्रदर्शित गढ़वाली फिल्म 'मेरी गंगा होली त मीमु  आली' मे नरेंद्र सिंह नेगी ने गीतकार ओर संगीतकार की भूमिका निभायी।

सन २००४-२००५ में  उत्तरा कम्युनिकेसन के बैनर तले मुकेश धष्माना की गढ़वाली फिल्म 'मेरी प्यारी बोइ' प्रदर्शित हुइ।   

  हिंदी फिल्म की डब  की गयी  गढ़वाली फिल्म 'छोटी ब्वारी' सन २००४-२००५ में प्रदर्शित हुयी।

  कैलाश द्विवेदी निर्मित गढ़वाली फिल्म 'किस्मत अपणी अपणी' सन  २००५ में दर्शकों को देखने मिली।

 सन २००५ में ही गढ़वाली फिल्म 'संजोग' अंकिता आर्ट के बैनर तले रिलीज हई।

कमल मेहता निर्मित दूसरी कुमाउनी फिल्म  'चेली' सन २००६ में प्रदर्शित हुयी।

सन .२००७  में कुली बेगार प्रथा पर आधारित सुदर्शन शाह निर्मित कुमाउनी फिल्म 'मधुलि'  दर्शकों ने देखा।

 सन २००७ में ही भास्कर रावत निर्मित फिल्म 'अपुण बिराण' दर्शकों तक पंहुची।

सन् २००८ में अजय शर्मा निर्मित अनिल बिष्ट निर्देशित 'मेरो सुहाग' फिल्म आइ।

सन् २००८ में पाराशर गौड़  और कनाडा प्रवासी असवाल द्वारा निर्मित व श्रीस डोभाल द्वारा निर्देशित गढ़वाली फिल्म 'गौरा' प्रदर्शित हुयी।

सन् २००९ में माधवानंद भट्ट निर्मित व राजेश जोशी निर्देशित प्रथम उत्तराखंडी फिल्म (कुमाउनी व गढ़वाली मिश्रित भाषा) रिलीज हुयी। यह फिल्म अब तक की सबसे मंहगी फिल्म है।

 ब्रह्मानन्द छिमवाल , गोपाल उप्रेती व बद्री प्रसाद अन्थ्वाल द्वारा  निर्मित व राजेन्द्र बिष्ट निर्देशित कुमाउनी फिल्म 'याद तेरी ऐगे' सन् २००९ में रिलीज हुयी। 

संतोष शाह निर्देशित व हीरा सिंह भाकुनी, वकुल रावत और खालिद द्वारा निर्मित  कुमाउनी फिल्म 'अभिमान' सन् २००९ में प्रदर्शित की गयी।

 सन् २०१०  में 'अनुज निर्देशित गढ़वाली फिल्म 'याद आली तेरी टीरी' ने दर्शकों की प्रशंसा  बटोरी

 

सन्२०१२ में अनुज जोशी निर्देशित 'मनस्वाग'  पर्यावरण व जंगली जानवरों की सुरक्षा पर उठानी वाली प्रशंशा योग्य फिम है।   

  'तीन आंखर' एक कुमाउनी हास्य फिल्म मानी जाती है

 

 

 फिल्म माध्यम अभिव्यक्ति हेतु एक अनूठा माध्यम है किन्तु धनाभाव व सरकारी अवहेलना के कारण फीचर फिल्म बनाना दुष्कर कार्य है। डीवीडी माध्यम ने कुमाऊनी व गढवाली फिल्म निर्माण को एक नया आयाम दिया। डीवीडी माध्यम ने कुमाऊनी व गढवाली फिल्म निर्माण को को एक नई गति दी। असंगठित उद्यम होने के कारण हमें सम्पूर्ण जानकारी मिलना कठिन ही है किन्तु इधर उधर से जुटायी  गयी सामग्री के अनुसार निम्न डीवीडी फिल्मों का उल्लेख आवश्यक है:   

गढ़वाली शोले प्रसिद्ध कालजयी फिल्म शोले की नकल है जिसके निर्माता अनिल जोशी हैं व निर्देशक अनुज जोशी।

गंगोत्री फिल्म निर्मित 'अब त खुलली रात' (२०१०)   के निर्देशक अनुज जोशी हैं। 

अनिल जोशी निर्मित 'हंत्या' (२००५) गढ़वाली फिल्म का  निर्देशक अनुज जोशी है।

स्वप्निल फिल्म व अनिल जोशी निर्मित 'गट्टू' गढवाली फिल्म का निर्देशन मदन डुकलाण ने किया।

'क्या कन तब'  -कुलानद घनसाला रचित, अनुज जोशी  निर्देशित नाटक की  वीडियोकृत फिल्म सन्२००८ में रिलीज हुयी। 

अनुज  जोशी निर्देशित 'गुल्लू' (२०१०)प्रथम  उत्तराखंडी  बाल फिल्म है।


  हिमालय आर्ट्स निर्मित 'घन्ना गिरगिट अर यमराज' (२०११ ) गढ़वाली हास्य फिल्म का निर्देशन अनुज जोशी ने किया।

 हिमालय फिल्म्स निर्मित 'कबि त होलि सुबेर' गढवाली फिल्म को अनुज जोशी ने निर्देशित किया।

हिमालय फिल्म्स की गढवाली फिल्म 'गुन्दरू बन गया हीरो ' का निर्देशन अनुज जोशी द्वारा किया गया।

अनुज जोशी ने गढवाली फिल्म 'अब त खुललि रात' का निर्देशन किया।   

 हिमालय फिल्म्स   प्रस्तुत 'कमली' (२०१२ )का निर्देशन अनुज जोशी ने किया। 

हिमालय फिल्म निर्मित गढवाली फिल्म 'काफळ' (२०१२ )का निर्देशन अनुज जोशी का है।

 

प्रदीप भंडारी द्वारा निर्देशित निम्न फिल्म प्रकाश में आयीं हैं :

२- आज दो अभी दो

३- जिया की लाडली

महेश प्रकाश कृत गढ़वाली फ़िल्में इस प्रकार हैं

हरेन्द्र गुसाईं प्रस्तुत 'नयी ब्योली फिल्म के निर्माता निर्देशक धीरज नेगी है

'भाग्यवान बेटी' फिल्म का   प्रस्तुतीकरण  चन्दन केस्सेट ने किया ।

जीवन रावत द्वारा निर्मित और राहुल बोरा निर्देशित फिल्म का नाम आश (कुमाउनी, २०१२ ) है।

१९८३  में पाराशर गौड़ द्वारा की गयी  शुरुवात के बाद केवल पच्चीस के करीब उत्तराखंडी भाषाई फीचर फिल्म और दसियों वीडिओ फ़िल्में निर्मित हुयीं। संख्या की दृष्टि से  उत्तराखंडी भाषाई फ़िल्में कम बनीं किन्तु जो भी बनीं वे इस बात की द्योतक हैं कि उत्तराखंडीयों   में अपनी भाषा और पहचान का जजबा है, भाषा से प्रेम है कि लाभ ना होने के आसार होते हुए भी निर्माता फ़िल्में बना रहे हैं। कुमाउनी-गढ़वाली भाषाई फिल्मो के अधिसंख्य कलाकार जजबे के रूप में ही फिल्मों से जुड़े हैं ना कि धन लाभ हेतु। हां यह बात भी सत्य है कि अधिकतर कुमाउनी या गढ़वाली  फ़िल्में विषय गत हिसाब से पहाड़ों संस्कृति व वास्तविकता से भटकी नजर आती हैं। भाषाई फिल्मों के प्रति सरकारी अवहेलना नये राज्य बनने के बाद भी रहा है और लगता है कि भविष्य में भी रहेगा।

                   When this author contacted Ram Negi to know about him for writing write up he became surprised. The reason for his surprise was that apart from Uttarakhand government the intellectuals, writers, journalists and social workers don’t promote Garhwali and Kumauni (Uttarakhandi) Film creative (barring the creative of Narendra Singh Negi Ji) too. Ram Negi feels frustrated that the Garhwali and Kumauni (Uttarakhandi) Films and Albums and its creative are the main or could said that only source of taking our culture to foreign countries but Uttarakhand government  never pays attention as it should pay attention to protect Garhwali and Kumauni (Uttarakhandi) Film and Album industry.
          Ram Negi is famous Garhwali and Kumauni (Uttarakhandi) Film and album artist, director and TV serial director. Negi was born on31/5/1969 in village Bhagauti (Narayan Bagad), Chamoli Garhwal.
  After passing his graduation from Dehradun, Ram Negi came in filmdom. His elder brother Balraj Negi was already famous by Gharjanvain and now Balraj Negi is officer in Uttarakhand cultural department. Ram Negi came in contact with Pathan Preet (Kathgodam) and learnt the finer points of film creation. He produced, directed Garhwali Albums Jwani ku Nasha, Dhakdyandi Jikudi, Junyali Rat, Pyaru Gairsain and Hiya Bhareenge and acted too. 
  Ram Negi from Chamoli Garhwal directed film ‘Sanjog’ a love based Garhwali film (VCD/DVD).
          Ram Negi became famous for directing Garhwali Television serial broadcasted by Doordarshan in 2009-2010. The sixteen episode Garhwali television serial is about the pain and problems of migration from rural Garhwal and Kumaun.
 One of witness for his creativity is Garhwali film (VCD/DVD) ‘Dharti Myara Garhwal ki’ (2008). Ram Negi produced and directed ‘Dharti Myara Garhwal ki’. The music director of Garhwali film (VCD/DV) ‘Dharti Myara Garhwal ki’ is Sanjay Kumola. Devi Prasad Semwal wrote lyric for the film. The film takes the issue of migration, no infrastructure for education, no employment opportunities in rural Garhwal and the struggle of mother to provide best education to her sons.
           Ram Negi is sad to state that due to heavy losses in producing Garhwali and Kumauni (Uttarakhandi) Films and albums the Garhwali and Kumauni (Uttarakhandi) Film and album industry is in very bad conditions. The investors are pulling off their hands and new investors are not seen for months in Garhwali and Kumauni (Uttarakhandi) Film and album industry. The state government is indifferent to promote Garhwali and Kumauni (Uttarakhandi) Film and album industry. When was asked, ram Negi answered that the so called Uttarakhand film Association is also not active to take the matter aggressively the cause of Garhwali and Kumauni (Uttarakhandi) Film and album industry to the state government.
              No doubt, Uttarakhand government is unresponsive, unsympathetic, uninterested, indifferent, unconcerned to  Garhwali and Kumauni (Uttarakhandi) Film and album industry but personalities as ram Negi is busy in struggling and his next  venture is ‘Gauri Mai’ based on the subject of making girl/woman as Mai.

उत्तराखंड फिल्म असोसिएसन

   सन १९ ८ ३ में प्रथम जग्वाळ फिल्म  प्रदर्शित होने के बाद गढ़वाली -कुमाउनी फ़िल्में बनने का सिलसिला शुरू हुआ। फिर फिल्मों के रचनाधर्मियों को संगठित कर काम करने की भी आवश्यकता महसूस हुयी। इसी आवश्यकता पूर्ति हेतु सन २००१ में देहरादून में उत्तराखंड फिल्म असोसिएसन की नींव पड़ी जिसके अध्यक्ष श्री एस . पी . एस नेगी को बनाया गया. श्री एस . पी . एस नेगी ही वर्तमान अध्यक्ष हैं। इस संगठन में निर्माता, निर्देशक, लेखक कलाकार, गीतकार, स्म्गीत्कार, सम्पादक व अन्य तक्नीसियन हैं।

सर्वप्रथम उद्देश्य उत्तराखंड फिल्म उद्यम का सुचारू रूप से विकसित करना है

फिल्म विकास सम्बन्धी सृजान्त्म्क कार्यों को सम्पादन करना फिल्म उद्यम विकास को संबल देने हेतु सृजान्त्म्क कार्यों का सम्पादन

अन्तराष्ट्रीय व राष्ट्रीय फिल्म-कर्मियों व रंगकर्मियों की संगोष्ठी करना जिससे आवश्यक सुचना व ज्ञान का प्रभाव हो सके और उत्तराखंडी फिल्म उद्यम की बातें अन्तराष्ट्रीय मंचो पर हो सके

उत्तराखंड फिल्म असोसिएसन यह बात जानता है कि क्षेत्रीय फ़िल्में उत्तराखंड पर्यटन को विकसित करने में सहायक होंगी और इसी मुड़े को मद्दे नजर रख असोसिएसन राष्ट्रीय व अंतर्राष्ट्रीय फिल्म निर्माताओं-निर्देशकों  के साथ सूचना आदान प्रदान कर उन्हें उत्तराखंड में फिल्म निर्माण के लिए प्रेरित करता है . राष्ट्रीय अथवा अन्तराष्ट्रीय फिल्मो की शूटिंग उत्तराखंड में होने से स्थानीय कलाकारों व तकनिसियनो को काम ही नही मिलता अपितु नई तकनीक का भी ज्ञान व अनुभव मिलता है।

   उत्तराखंड फिल्म असोसिएसन   उत्कृष्ट कार्य करने के लिए निर्देशकों, कलाकारों, लेखकों, संगीतकारों  व तकनीसियनो को समय समय पर सम्मान करता है और उन्हें प्रेरित भी करता है।

 उत्तराखंड फिल्म असोसिएसन   अपना सांस्कृतिक दल देस विदेस भेजता है जिससे सांस्कृतिक व तकनीकी ज्ञान का आदान प्रदान किया जा सके व उत्तराखंड संस्कृति का प्रचार प्रसार भी किया जा सके।

 उत्तराखंड फिल्म असोसिएसन  समय समय पर असहाय व अस्वस्थ फिल्म रचनाधर्मियों व तकनीसियनो की सहायता भी करता है।

समय समय पर उत्तराखंड फिल्म असोसिएसन   उत्तराखंड फिल्मों की समस्यायों से सरकार व अधिकारियों को अवगत कराता रहा है।

                 Balraj Negi is a dedicated personality to Garhwali-Kumauni Culture, Garhwali-Kumauni theatres, Garhwali-Kumauni (Uttarakhandi) films. Born in village Bhagauti (Narayan Bagad), Chamoli Garhwal, on 30/6/1960 is student of Poona Film Institute and Ravi Chandra Film Institute, Mumbai. Balraj had interest in drama from his childhood and he played many roles in Ram Leela. When Negi was studying in Karodi Mal College Delhi, Balraj used to take part in Hindi theatre of Delhi. 
                After studying in Poona institute Balraj came to Mumbai and did Garhwali theatre. Balraj Negi played leading roles in Garhwali dramas as Kai ma ni Bulyan directed by Kanta Prasad Garhwali, Satyvan Savitri directed by Vishal Naithani,  Sabun ma Bolya directed by Prem Rangila,  Basant Fyunli and Sutradhar, Jeetu Bagdwal (both directed by Balraj Negi).
  Balraj acted in famous Garhwali film ‘Ghar Javain’ as leading male character. The film is the most hit film of Garhwali film till date. 
               Balraj Negi acted as leading character in film as ‘Bwai ho t ini ‘produced by Suraj Sharma and irected by Mahavir Negi; Jiya ki Ladi directed and produced by Pradip Bhandari.
   The dedicate film and drama personality, Bal Raj Negi also worked in tens Garhwali music Albums as Thando Thando hito , Juneli rat etc.
 His Hindi Album was appreciated the most. The Uttarakhand governor Hon Sudarshan Agarwal released the said album. Doordarshan broadcasted the said album on the occasion of republic days. 
    Balraj Negi is now as Convener of Rangmandal of Uttarakhand cultural department.
  Balraj Negi is sad that there is no unity among Uttarakhand film creative and there are many film associations but nobody does any concrete works for protection of declining industry.

                      Editing is very important aspect of post film production. Editor plays a dynamic role in film making. The film editor works with unprocessed film footage, selecting the shots-scenes and then combining the shots into sequences for creating finished film. The job of editor is an art, using technology and assembling shots logically. The editor works creatively with images, reimages, story, dialogues, music, visuals, performances of actors. The words and works –editor’s cuts, director’s cuts, final cut, montages, and montage sequences are very common in editing.
                          Initially there was no editing facility in Dehradun the film capital of Uttarakhand. Film makers had to come to Mumbai. However, after digitalization the editing started in Dehradun. There were editors of video films for marriage procession video shooting and they helped Garhwali- Kumauni film industry. However, after Mohit Kumar entering into editorial scene the professionalism took over unprofessionalism attitude in Garhwali-Kumauni film editing works.
               Mohit Kumar belongs to village Shirodi of Nainital . However, but the most prolific and professionally qualified Garhwali-Kumauni (Uttarakhandi) film editor Mohit Kumar was born in Paudi on 19/11/1975. After completion graduation, the most prolific and professionally qualified Garhwali-Kumauni (Uttarakhandi) film Editor Mohit Kumar took courses on animation and film editing. Since, there was not much scope in film animation, Mohit paid attention on film editing.
                The most prolific and professionally qualified Garhwali-Kumauni (Uttarakhandi) film editor Mohit Kumar is so perfect that every second Garhwali-Kumauni film is offered to Mohit for editing.
               The most prolific and professionally qualified Garhwali-Kumauni (Uttarakhandi) film editor Mohit Kumar is also credited to start dubbing in Garhwali-Kumauni film. The dubbing was first initiated in film ‘ Byau directed  by Hemant Sharma. The most prolific and professionally qualified Garhwali-Kumauni (Uttarakhandi) film editor Mohit Kumar took the dubbing technology with ease and his first dubbing work started from ‘Dagdya’ film.
           When was asked about the financial condition of Kumauni Garhwali film industry, the most prolific and professionally qualified Garhwali-Kumauni (Uttarakhandi) film editor Mohit Kumar sadly state that it is very poor as the  Garhwali-Kumauni film producers don’t get their money back. When the producers don’t get money back the Shaukiya (just for hobby) producers produce ‘Uyyad’ films.
   The most prolific and professionally qualified Garhwali-Kumauni (Uttarakhandi) film editor Mohit Kumar informed that usually by March many films or albums producers go for shooting tp Pahad but this year till date he did not get any information about launch or shooting of new Garhwali-Kumauni film.
            His views are that only society can protect the diminishing industry.   
                      Kumauni-Garhwali film industry is indebted to the most prolific and professionally qualified Garhwali-Kumauni (Uttarakhandi) film editor Mohit Kumar for his professionalism and hard work for fourteen hours per day.
