I fully agree with points.

Secondly, there is less interest amongst  Uttarkahandi living in metro cities towards UK”s compared to hill areas.

Quite a few time back, we have received a mail from one of our Uttarakhandi fellow that he wish to start a new channel on  Uttarakhandi culture.

He had asked for certain information which we had given to him but thereafter there is no reponse from his side.

Presently, ETV uttarakhandi is showing some programms on Uttarakhand. One is a musical show called "Jhumiyo" which is on the verge of end. Secondly, ETV is also broadcasting news on Uttarakhand at 07:30 am / 1:30 pm and 7:30 at evening. Apart from this, some interval news are also being broadcasted in Sahara TV / TV 100 and Jain etc.

Thes channels are not covering any cultural and tourism part of Uttarakhand. There is deadly requirement of a 24 hour channel for Uttarakhand which can be helpful in promoting cultural and tourism of Uttarakhand.

As usual, there is no initiataive from Govt level.

This will only be now possible if any fellow Uttarakhandi strongly come forward and venture into this.
