Community radio station to start at Uttarakhand

NEW DELHI: The government has granted permission to set up a new community radio station at “The Energy Resources Institute” in District Mukteshwar of Uttarakhand.

The Information and Broadcasting Ministry has signed a Grant of Permission Agreement for establishing, maintaining and operating the Community Radio Station (CRS). The Letter of Intent had been issued to the Institute after recommendations of the Inter Ministerial Committee (IMC).

The station is expected to be operational within three months, raising the number of CRS to 64 in the country.

 Named “Kumoun Vani”, the CRS will bring the local communities on a common platform and enable better communication and flow of resources between them. This CRS will enable them to generate content based on local issues as well as technical knowledge about operating a radio station.

 

Local organisations will be invited for content sharing through radio spots and programmes, music bands or music groups can be invited to play and create radio jingles. Workshops/seminars sessions can be narrated on the radio creating awareness, discussions on technique and method to improve horticulture practice and comments from experts/panel discussion. Experts from various backgrounds will be invited to discuss issues related to environment protection, emancipation and development of society to afford an all-round rapid healthy development and also to meet the social responsibilities.

उत्तराखंड में नया कम्युनिटी रेडियो "कुमाऊँ वाणी"
 

उत्तराखंड में एक नया कम्युनिटी रेडियो केंद्र "कुमाऊँ वाणी" शुरू किया जाएगा. भारत सरकार के सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्रालय ने इसकी अनुमति दे दी है. इसके तहत उत्तराखंड के जिला मुक्तेश्वर के उर्जा संसाधन संस्थान में एक कम्युनिटी रेडियो केंद्र की स्थापना, रख-रखाव और उसका संचालन किया जायेगा. इस कम्युनिटी रेडियो केंद्र की तीन महीने के अंदर शुरू किये जाने की संभावना है. इसे मिलाकर देश में कम्युनिटी रेडियो केन्द्रों की संख्या 64 हो जाएगी.

Uttarakhand's first Community Radio in next 10 days

Dehra Dun, Mar 3 (PTI) Uttarakhand will have its first Community Radio in the next 10 days.

Union Minister of state for Information and Broadcasting S Jagathrakshakan today told a meeting with officials here that the Community Radio would be operational at Mukteshwar.

He said the Centre has planned to encourage the setting up of Community Radio Stations in the region in a big way and permission has been granted to National Institute for Visually Handicapped (NIVH) here to start a Community Radio which is also expected to be operational within three months.

Jagathrakshankan said letters of intent have also been issued to 15 other institutions, including 13 Krishi Vigyan Kendras to set up CRSs in the state.

He said construction work for upgradation of Doordarshan Kendra studio at Dehra Dun is expected to be completed by the end of next financial year.

उत्तराखण्ड में कई रेडियो केन्द्र हैं, लेकिन कुछ का ही संचालन हो पा रहा है, जैसे अल्मोड़ा और पौड़ी, लेकिन इनकी फ्रीक्वेंसी देहरादून में भी नहीं पहुंच पाती है। पिथौरागढ़ का रेडियो केन्द्र तो शायद धन खपाने के लिये ही किया गया था। ये प्रसार भारती के रेडियो केन्द्र थे, अब देखते हैं ऊजा मंत्रालय का य रेडियो कितना कारगर साबित होता है।

हिंदी व कुमाऊंनी में प्रसारित होंगे कार्यक्रम

नैनीताल: गुजरात, चेन्नई, दिल्ली, केरल व बुंदेलखंड में सफल प्रयोग के बाद उत्तराखंड में भी कम्युनिटी रेडियो स्टेशन शुरू होने की उल्टी गिनती शुरू हो चुकी है। नैनीताल जिले के सूपी गांव को यह तोहफा देने जा रही है ख्याति प्राप्त पर्यावरणविद आरके पचौरी की संस्था टेरी। कम्युनिटी रेडियो केंद्र में हिंदी के साथ ही कुमाऊंनी भाषा में भी कार्यक्रमों का प्रसारण होगा। जिसमें विषय विशेषज्ञ व अनुभवी स्थानीय लोग महत्वपूर्ण जानकारियां देंगे। रेडियो स्टेशन के कार्यक्रम आसपास के दस किमी दायरे के भीतर स्थित गांवों पर एफएम 90.4 पर सुन सकते है।

टेरी संस्था द्वारा नैनीताल जिले के रामगढ़ ब्लाक अंतर्गत रेडियो स्टेशन स्थापना का काम पूरा कर लिया गया है। उपकरण इत्यादि भी लगा दिए गए है। संस्था की प्रवक्ता श्रेया सिन्हा ने बताया कि रेडियो स्टेशन से स्थानीय ग्रामीणों की जरूरत पर आधारित कार्यक्रमों का प्रसारण किया जाएगा। कार्यक्रमों में जनसंख्या नियंत्रण, खेतीबाड़ी, साफ-सफाई आदि प्रमुख विषय होंगे। रेडियो कार्यक्रमों में दूसरे प्रदेशों के विशेषज्ञों के साथ ही क्षेत्र के ही अनुभवी ग्रामीणों को जानकारी देने के लिए आमंत्रित किया जाएगा। इसके अलावा ग्रामीणों की जानकारी पर आधारित प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रमों का भी सीधा प्रसारण किया जाएगा। रेडियो स्टेशन 24 घंटे काम करेगा। सूपी क्षेत्र के दस किमी दायरे में स्थित गांवों के लोग रेडियो स्टेशन का एफएम 90.4 फ्रीक्वेंसी पर प्रसारण सुन सकेंगे। रेडियो प्रसारण हिंदी व कुमाऊंनी भाषा में होगा।

                राज्य का पहला सामुदायिक रेडियो स्टेशन शुरू

नैनीताल: राज्य का पहला सामुदायिक रेडियो 'कुमाऊं वाणी' ने गुरुवार से विधिवत काम करना शुरू कर दिया है। राज्यपाल मारग्रेट आल्वा ने लेटीबुंगा स्थित द एनर्जी एंड रिसोर्सेज इंस्टीटयूट में आयोजित एक समारोह में रेडियो स्टेशन का उद्घाटन किया। रेडियो स्टेशन सूपी में स्थापित किया गया है।

टेरी के मुख्यालय में आयोजित समारोह को संबोधित करते हुए राज्यपाल श्रीमती आल्वा ने कहा कि देश व दुनिया में भले ही टेलीविजन का डंका बज रहा हो, लेकिन दूरस्थ व पिछड़े इलाकों में आज भी रेडियो सूचना का सशक्त माध्यम है।

सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्रालय के संयुक्त सचिव अभिलाक्ष लेखी ने कहा वर्ष 2006 से सामुदायिक रेडियो का देश भर में दायरा बढ़ाया गया है। उन्होंने बताया देश में 52 सामुदायिक रेडियो स्टेशनों ने काम करना शुरू कर दिया है। कृषि विज्ञान केंद्रों व शैक्षिक तथा गैर सरकारी संस्थानों को भी इससे जोड़ा जा रहा है।

न्यूयार्क से दूरभाष पर समारोह का संबोधित करते हुए टेरी के महानिदेशक व नोबल पुरस्कार विजेता डा.आरके पचौरी ने कहा सूचना एवं ज्ञान का विस्तार विकास के लिए महत्वपूर्ण है।

 उन्होंने कहा संस्था द्वारा कम्यूनिटी रेडियो के माध्यम से वर्तमान व भावी पीढ़ी को लाभ पहुंचाने की पहल आरंभ की गई है। समारोह को टेरी की निदेशक अन्नपूर्णा वांचेश्वरी तथा पंतनगर विवि के कुलपति डा. बीएस बिष्ट ने भी संबोधित किया। संचालन तुलसी मेहता ने किया।
