Is Uttarakhand Govt. Responsible? - क्या उत्तराखंड सरकार जिम्मेदार है?

As Anubhav sir said ,we should write a open letter to chief minister telling him that our government should honour those personalities which have brought good name for our state.We should circulate this letter in all our community groups and friend circles so that more and more pahadi can sign and then send it to chief minister.

If we want it shoud happen on 9th nov then we have to start as soon as possible.

Do you know when we are discussing this topic mindlessly what we are failing to understand.
There is no standard policy to fecilitate anybody at present.
Nobody has got into details.No ministry is taking care of this.
In case, some politician highlights about a particular person, things happen and then all becomes silent as in Jaspal Rana's case.
Unless there are clearcut guidelines as to presentation of UK ratan, UK shree, UK gaurav etc. such indescrepancies will happen .
And once these SOPs are in order, see how these politicians will see how many awards are disbursed and maybe I may also recieve one after bit of lobbying.
So it not just a case of felicitating people but lining up of a standard operating procedure which nobody thought of.
And I feel it is better not to announce anything ,than CM announcing a plot of land in Dehradun to somebody and after 10 years we come to know that it was never alloted.

Sir Ji,
As far as awards of UK are concerned, common peple are not even aware of that how many kinds of awards are there.
Pepole are not quite aware that how many peple have been awarded by UK ratan and other awards so far.
Whenever such awards are given, wide publicity should be given about them.

Uttarakhand Government felicitate shooter Rana
Dehradun, Nov 9 (UNI) Ace Indian shooter Jaspal Rana was today felicitated by the Uttarakhand Government for his sporting feats here on the ocassion of the seventh anniversary of the state.
Mr Rana who was born in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand and have a credit of equalling the World Record in 25 m Centre-Fire Pistol, earning 590 points during the 2006 Asian Games, was presented Rs 25 lakh and a shawl by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Bhuvan Chandra Khanduri at a function organised to celebrate the of state's anniversary.
The Arjuna Awardee Rana was acompanied by his father Narayan Singh Rana.
Chief Minister Khanduri after felicitating Rana said the amount presented to him was mere a token of honour from the state government.
''His achievements as sports person can not be compared with money of any amount,'' Khanduri said, adding that Rana had brought laurel not only to the state but he was the pride of entire country.
Mr Rana had started his shooting career in the tender age of 12 when he won a silver medal in Junior National Championship. Since then he never looked back. He is politically involved with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and had earlier indicated towards contesting election.
