Few cities in Uttarakhand have a good infrastructure to develop an IT base. Dehradun, Haldwani, Rudrapur have the potential to attract foreign investment. The cool environment gives these cities an edge over the ones based in NCR region. Rudrapur, Pantnagar and Haridwar are already in a move with their industry base. If government gives some more emphasis to IT sector, Uttarakhand can be put forward as an employment state. Immigration of people from Uttarakhand to other states is due to the lack of employment. If government of Uttarakhand takes a step towards such activities we can have Software development and software support given a thought in coming years. Even the companies like Intel searching area for their manufacturing can be at least given an idea of setting it up in our own cities.
Can such thoughts be put across to the relevant people by the readers of this forum?
