           The Garhwal and Kumaon region is the land of Army men. When the army men are holidaying in their home village and there is war with neighboring enemy country the Garhwali-Kumaoni army men had to cancelling holiday and return to their head quarter in border place.
    The following folk song illustrates the regional disturbance in North East Frontier Area and army deployment there.
 The folk song also discusses the pain of wife of army man going to joining duty in disturbed region.
 The folk song discusses the death and life as sides of a coin for an army man.

        There are many stories about Bhairon deity.  Bhairava is also a Nathpanthi brave man. The Bhairapavali is collection of Nathpanthi Mantra of Bhairva. It is said that after taking consecration from Luna Chamarin (a disciple of Guru Gorakhnath) Bhairava learnt Buksad vidya from Nur Bukas; Kanvar ki Dhul from Kalu Bukas; a secrete languages (ganjmunjya Bhasha) from Chaubat Chungti and Sona Macchhyaran , Bhairon took shelter in Dhaulya Udyar for complete accomplishment (siddhi). He got Siddhi in Dhaulya Udyar. The Bhairava folk poetry is sung in Jagar and Mantra as well. After getting accomplishment, Bhairon stays in Langurgarh or Bhairongarh.

            Dyo Lagi folk song is from Gairsain a border region of Kumaon and Garhwal. The folk song is part of Nanda Jat folk song wherein after marrying with Shiva, Nanda remembers her mother’s house but she is unable peep towards her mother village region due to heavy cloud.
  The folk song creates sadness of a newly married girl remembering her Mayka (mother’s house). The folk song creates fine images of Himalayan rainy season too.

                   Once, in Kailash, Bhagwati Nanda was feeling sadness. She was very unrest mentally and was sitting still for hours. Lord Shiva asked the reasons for her sadness. Goddess Nanda told that she does not have any brother to remind her seasonal changes. Goddess Nanda requested Shiva her to find a brother. Lord gave permission.
   Goddess Nanda reached to prime minister of Kannauj. The name of wife of prime minister was maina too as Nanda’s mother’s name was also Maina. Maina asked the reasons for Nanda’s coming to Kannauj. Nanda told that she does not have brother to provide her seasonal gifts. Maina had two brilliant sons Batu and Latu. Nanda requested Maina to give her Latu as Nanda’s adopted brother. After continuous persuasion from Nanda, Maina gave her son to Nanda.
   Nanda reached Ban village by passing Bans Bhabhar, Ringal Bhabhar, Anvala Bhabhar, Ver Bhabhar and Burans Bhabhar. Nanda went to KailNadi for bathing. Latu was sitting on the road. Latu felt thirsty and he asked water from village women of ban village. The women, instead of offering water to Latu, gave some jand-mand (addictive) juice to Latu. Latu became unconscious. Nanda came to know the realities through her potent spiritual knowledge and cured Latu. Nanda told to Latu that there would be his temple in Ban village. Nanda also promised Latu that Nautiyals of Nauti village would be priest for that Latu temple.  Nanda told to her brother Latu that when at every twelve years people would bring Nanda Jat procession, people will also worship Latu. She promised that none other than Nauitylas would be permitted to enter into Latu temple.
 From that day, people worship Latu along with Nanda deity. People also offer goat as sacrifice to deity.
 Nautiyals open the Latu temple of Ban village and they only shut the door of Latu temple.

The folk literature creators have sharp eye on vey events happening here and there, news and views. The following folk song describes the hanging and sacrifice by myrtle Bhagat Singh

 O Bhagat Singh! We are obliged; we are obliged by your Sacrifice
O Bhagat Singh! For your fight for independence, you were hanged
O Bhagat Singh! At seven o clock evening, you were hanged
O Bhagat Singh! You reached to heaven
The flower airplane came to take brave Bhagat Singh

               राजस्थानी, गढ़वाली-कुमाउंनी  लोकगीतों का तुलनात्मक अध्ययन:भाग- 1

लोक गीत लोकोन्मुखी होते हैं . लोक रचनाकार जो देखता उसे फोटोकॉपी जैसे चित्रित कर  देता है I हाँ रचना करते वक्त लोक धर्मी रचनाकार भौगोलिक , आर्थिक सामजिक व अपनी कल्पना और शब्द सामर्थ्य के हिसाब से रचना कर डालता है I
अंग्रेजी शासन में भारत पर कई तरह के अत्याचार व अनाचार हुए I ब्रिटिश  अत्याचारों का प्रभाव भारत के सभी वर्गों पर कुछ हिसाब से तकरीबन एक सा ही रहा है I
यही कारण है कि राजस्थानी और गढ़वाली लोक गीतों में अधिक साम्यता है I
निम्न राजस्थानी गीत में अंग्रेजी राज्य की अव्यवस्था और जनविरोधी कार्य की निंदा की गयी है


         देश में अंग्रेज राज आयो
         
   देश में अंग्रेज राज आयो , काईं काईं लायो रे I
  फूट नांकी भायाँ में , बेगार लायो रे
काली टोपी रे , हाँ हाँ काली टोपी रे
देश में घुत्यारो आयोरे भूरिया मुंडालो
अबु न अजमेर बच में डोडी हडकाँ नांकी रे
घोड़ी रोवे घास ने टावर रोवे दाणा ने
महलां ठुकराण्या रोवे , जामण जाया ने
इस राजस्थानी लोक गीत  में ब्रिटिश राज की बहाली की भर्त्सना की गयी है   की महगाई आदि व चीजों की कमी का रोना रोया गया है I घोड़े को घास नही दाणा नही मिलने की बात उठाई गयी है

निम्न गढवाली गीत भी ब्रिटिश राज में रचा गया है और जनता की बदहाली को सामने रखता है
 


सूणा सूणा भाई बन्दों भारत को गीत जी
कना कना हाल ह्वेन कन ऐन अंग्रेजी रीत जी
हजार हजार का भैंसा ह्वेन दूध नी माणी जी
हौर चीज फंड फूका अंग्रेजी चा जरुर पीणा जी
डेरा मूं खंदेर आयूँ च खांद
सौदा  खाणकू रूप्या  नी कन आयो अकरी जी

इस गढ़वाली लोक गीत में गीत में भैस के दाम बढ़ गये हैं किन्तु दूध कम होता जा रहा है . और नई नई व्यसन घर कर गये हैं कि जिन्दगी जीना दूभर हो गया है


दोनों भाषाओं की गीत यथार्थ का पोर वृतांत बताने प्यूरी तरह समर्थ हैं .
दोनों भाषाओं के लोक गीत जन चेतना के लोक गीत हैं
दोनों भाषाओं के ये लोक गीत जो देखा गया , जो अनुभव किया गया उसे साफ़ साफ़ दर्शाने में समर्थ हैं I
दोनों लोक गीत दर्शाते हैं कि लोक रचनाकार को स्पस्ट कहने में कोई हिचकिचाहट बिलकुल भी नही है I
राजस्थानी और उत्त्रख्न्दी लोक गीत के रचनाकार निडर हैं और उन्हें बादशाहत का  कोई भय नही है किन्तु जन मानस की चिंता सता रही है और लोक रचनाकार अन्याय व अत्याचार को मौन स्वीकार नही करता है बल्कि वः किसी भी तरह मुखर हो उठता है I
