Samany,
After two unsuccessful attempts a upload my memories of working on ' Akhari Munadi ', yesterday, I will try again today...
All these attempts I am making is only 'coz of my personal relationship with Mr. M.S.Methaji.
I am damn sure I would by now given up by now, telling myself, "What the hell, I tried..."
So lets start with my receiving a call from a Cinematographer Naren Gedia, with whom I had worked earlier on some Indian & English Channel assignments.
He told me that he is going to Naini Tal to shot a film.
I gave him the telephone number of a person, Narinder Singh who works in the Meteorology Dept. observatory in Naini Tal.
Narinder is from village Bhatoli, which just next to my village, Tehri Garhwal.
Soon the unit came back from the shot & the Cinematographer Naren Gedia called me again and informed me that they didn't shot in Naini Tal but instead they shot in Haldwani & Almora.
Also that he & Director would like me to do the complete post - production for this film.
So thats how I got attached to the Film, right in the mid-section of the making of ' Akhari Munadi '.
It was a good opportunity to meet and observe the acting of some really talented artist and voice-over cum actors from Uttarakhand.
First i meet the young & dedicated Asso. Director, Manoj Kainthola of Roorkee, who's family hails from Pauri Garhwal.
I meet Alok Kumar from Almora, the main lead in this film.
He plays the role of the drum beating message shouter, a talented actor & a thorough gentalman.
Here I would like to mention a few actors like, Shrimati Reeta Devi who plays the role of Havaldarin.
What a natural actor, with loads of talent.
Not to miss & forget Baaday Babu, Mr D.N. Bhatt and Kantha Prasad & gaurav.
I don't remember the names of two more artist, one who played the role of Chotey Babu & another who was Angad in the Ramleela scene, but they are very good actors and really gave the the look required by the film.
All these wonderful artist from Almora and Haldwani...
Also Mr. Sushil Sharma of Delhi, who played the role of Chairman Sabha...
There were more Uttarakhandi Actors cum voice-overs, who gave the voice to a few characters in the film like, Pankaj Joshi, Vikash, Meenu Bhist, Kishore, Gopal Tiwari etc...
I would now like to write a few words about Ahsan.
He is a good motivate and can bring out the best in the artist and technicians.
A good person can only be a good Director and Ahsan has the experience & ability on his side.
It is the second film I have worked on associated with Uttarakhand.
The first was shot in Chakrata, in Jaunsar Bawar.
It was a short film Directed, Scripted by my nephew, who did his Directors course from the London Film School, London, England.
The story and dialogues were by my Brother-in-law, the father of the Director.
' Akari Munadi ' is a authentic Pahadi film with a excellent storyline.
And some really good cinematography by Naren Gedia.
Regards
