We are sharing here information about emerging Tennis Star Parul Goswami who hails from Uttarakhand Soil.
Parul Goswami, hails from Village KAFAL DUNGA near Garur Distt. Bageshwar. Born in Oct. 1986, the National Champion of 2007, Parul is a final year, St. Stephen student of History (Hons.). She studied in Modern School Delhi and her father Dr. R P Goswami works in the Min.of Non-conventtional Energy Delhi. Parul Goswami, hails from Village KAFAL DUNGA near Garur Distt. Bageshwar. Interestingly, Parul has achieved the national laurels by virtue of her talent, capability and families' efforts. There is no sponsership for this rising star as yet. · Career high in International Tennis Federation (ITF) Women’s World Ranking was 623 (Singles) on 1st August, 2006.
· Career high in International Tennis Federation (ITF) Women’s World Ranking was 627 (Doubles) on 1st August, 2006.
· Semi-finalist in $ 10,000 ITF Tennis –Women’s Circuit at Muzafarnagar, Feb. 2006.
· Finalist (Single & Doubles) in $ 10,000 ITF Tennis –Women’s Circuit at Pune, Nov. 2005.
· Runner-up in DSCL Open National Tennis Championship (under 18) 2004.
· Quarterfinalist (Single) & Semifinalist (Doubles) in ITF Women’s in Algeria , 2004.
· Winner (Team) 49th National School Games Championship 2003.
· Winner (Single, Doubles & Team) XXIX National Sports Festival (women) 2003.
· Career high in Jr. (ITF) World Ranking was 277 (Single) and 481(Double) 2003, despite participating only in a limited number of International Tennis Tournaments.
· First rank in India , Girls under16 age group during year 2002.
