These are some photos and images of tehri garhwal, a beautiful and progressive travel spot in Uttaranchal (now uttarakhand). We have tried to cover the latest photographs and latest images of tehri dam built on Bhagirathi-Bhilangana rivers which is also the latest and major happening in Tehri Garhwal.
 Tehri is now becoming the main focus of tourism industry in Uttaranchal (now uttarakhand), due to the recent major developments in the area.Uttaranchal or Uttarakhand is famous for its outstanding natural beauty, the northern parts are basically lies in greater himalaya ranges which is covered by high himalayan peaks and glaciers.
 Ganges and Yamuna mainly originates from Gangotri and Yamunotri which are considered as the divine sources. You can consider this particular section as a collection of Uttaranchal or Uttarakhand photographs, Uttaranchal pictures or Uttaranchal images, showing some of the best natural photographs and images from lovely Uttaranchal

 King Sudarshan Shah established his capital at Tehri town and afterwards his successors Pratap Shah, Kirti Shah and Narendra Shah established their capital at Pratap Nagar, Kirti Nagar and Narendra Nagar respectively. Their dynasty ruled over this region from 1815 to 1949.During the Quit India Movement people of tehri region actively participated for the independence of the country.
Ultimately when the country was declared independent in 1947, the inhabitants of Tehri Riyasat started their movement for getting themselves freed from the clutches of Maharaja. Due to the movement the situation became out of his control and was difficult for him to rule over the region.The 60th king of Pawar Vansh Manvendra Shah accepted the sovereignty of Indian Government.
Thus in 1949 Tehri Riyasat was merged in Uttar Pradesh and was given the status of a new district. Being a scattered region it posed numerous problems for expediting development. Resultantly on 24th February 1960 the U.P. Government separated its’ one tehsil which was given status of a separate district named as Uttarkashi.

एक जीवंत शहर मनुष्य की बढती जरूरतों की भेंट चढ गया. यह टिहरी का त्याग ही तो है…. लोगों के घर को रोशन करने के लिए बिजली बननी थी... उसके लिए टिहरी शहर और कई गांवों में रहने वाले हजारों परिवारों को विस्थापन की मार झेलनी पडी.

हज्ञारों-लाखों लोगों का दर्द क्या आसानी से व्यक्त किया जा सकता है? इस विषय पर कई लेख, कविताएं और गाने बने.... नेगी जी का "अबरि दा तु लम्बी छुट्टी ले के एई" तो इतिहास में दर्ज हो गया. रोहित चौहान का गाया हुआ यह गाना भी उसी पीडा को व्यक्त करता है.... और इतिहास में इसे जगह दिलायी है वसुन्धरा रतूडी ने.... वसु ने "जी.टी.वी. के सा रे गा मा" में गाकर इसको किसी टी.वी. टैलेन्ट हंट के मंच पर गाया जाने वाला पहला उत्तराखण्डी गाना बना दिया....

आख्यूं में रिटणि, पानी में रिंगणि-2

हे विधाता- हे विधाता हमुल तेरो क्या जै क्वे,
मेरि पितरो की बसायी टिहरी पाणि जुग्ता ह्वै,
कैकि लागी ह्वली नजर मेरि प्यारि टिहरी त्वै

राजा कू रज्वार डूबि, रानि कू रोतैलू मैल,
कन भलो बजार डूबि टिहरी की व चैल-पैल-2
हे विधाता- हे विधाता हमुन तेरो क्या जै क्वे,
मेरि पितरो की बसायी टिहरी पाणि जुग्ता ह्वै,
कैकि लागी ह्वली नजर मेरि प्यारि टिहरी त्वै

जौ बाटो ग्वाया लगैन, सी बि अब पाणि मैं गैनि,
गौ घर छजा तिबरी, अब त समलौंण्या ह्वेनि-2
हे विधाता- हे विधाता हमुन तेरो क्या जै क्वे,
मेरि पितरो की बसायी टिहरी पाणि जुग्ता ह्वै,
कैकि लागी ह्वली नजर मेरि प्यारि टिहरी त्वै

भै-भयू से गेनि दूर स्वीणा ह्वेनि चूर-चूर.
हे बैरी विधाता बोल हमरू क्या रईं कसूर-2
हे विधाता- हे विधाता हमुन तेरो क्या जै क्वे,
मेरि पितरो की बसायी टिहरी पाणि जुग्ता ह्वै,

श्रीदेव सुमन की टिहरी, गंगा भागिरथी कु मैत,
कन बनि डाम कि जेल, द्वि बेनि ह्वे गेनि कैद-2
हे विधाता- हे विधाता हमुन तेरो क्या जै क्वे,
मेरि पितरो की बसायी टिहरी पाणि जुग्ता ह्वै,,
