Saptarishi Kund

Saptarishi Kund, a natural lake, is about 10 km from Yamunotri in Uttarkashi District.
The lake is on the Kalind Parbat, at an altitude of 4421 m. It is the source of the Yamuna River and is generally covered with ice. The rare Brahma lotus grows here. Naturally carved slate stones are seen on the banks of the lake.

Thamari Kund

Thamari Kund, a picturesque natural lake, is located in Munsiyari in Pithoragarh District. It is surrounded by paper trees. Musk deer is found in the region. The place provides a panoramic view of the snow-clad mountains all around. Nearby tourist destinations include Maheshwari Kund, Khalia Top, Betulidhar, Milam Glacier, Namik Glacier and Ralam Glacier.

Gangayan Kund

Gangayan Kund is a holy tank situated in Gangnani, eight km from Barkot. It lies, on the banks of Yamuna River, along the Yamunotri trek route. Nearby destinations are Than Village, Gangotri, Rishi Jamdagni Temple, Surya Kund, Dharasu, Hanumanchatti and Kharadi Waterfall. The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport. The nearest railway station is at Rishikesh.

Gaurikund

Gaurikund is a beautiful pilgrim spot, located 5 km from Son Prayag, in Rudraprayag District of Uttaranchal. Major point of attraction here is an ancient temple, dedicated to the Goddess Gauri – another name of Goddess Parvati, which houses metallic idols of Gauri and Lord Shiva.
Legend is that, Parvati meditated here for a considerable time, to win Lord Shiva as her consort. Finally, she succeeded, and the cosmic couple was wed at Triyuginarayan.

The best season to visit is from March to November.

Agnikund Temple


Agnikund Temple is one of the famous temples situated in Bageshwar District of Uttaranchal. Ram Ghat Temple, Nileshwar Temple, Kukuda Mai Temple, Shitla-devi Temple, Trijugi Narayan Temple and Hanuman Temple are the nearby attractions. The nearest airport is Pant Nagar Airport and the nearest railway station is Kathgodam Railway Station.

This is the place where Great Saint Vashisth and Lanka Pati Rawan did penance.Vairash Kund is in Chamoli District of Uttarakhand.
