Mrityunjaya Temple

Situated at Jageshwar, Mrityunjaya Temple dates back to 10th century. The shrine - largest in the region - is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The intricately carved doors of the sanctum, the tower and outer walls of the temple are all decorated with sculptures depicting Lord Shiva. The shrine is 34 km from Almora and 100 km from Nainital. Pant Nagar Airport is the nearest airbase, 150 km away. Kathgodam, 124 km away, is the nearest railhead.

Trijugi Narayan temple

Trijugi Narayan temple is located amid the scenic meadows of Panwali Kantha, near Bageshwar in the Garhwal region of Himalayas. The shrine, one of the most revered places of worship in Uttaranchal, is believed to be the site where Lord Shiva married Goddess Parvati. The temple has the towering Kedarnath peak as its backdrop. Kartik Swami Temple

Kartik Swami Temple is a highly revered shrine set amidst serene environs, at an altitude of 3048 m above the sea level, in Rudraprayag District, Uttaranchal.

Bhimashankara Temple

Bhimashankara Temple, devoted to Lord Shiva, is situated at Kashipur, near Nainital. Within the temple complex lie other shrines dedicated to Bhairavanath and Parvati. There is a sacred temple tank called as shivganga. Mahashivratri is celebrated here with great pomp. The temple attracts pilgrims who come here seeking peace and happiness.

Situated at the confluence of Kali and Saryu rivers, Pancheshwar forms the borders with Nepal. It is about 40 km from Lohaghat, in Champawat District, in Uttaranchal.
Pancheshwar is famous for the Chaumu Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is believed that a dip at the confluence of the rivers is very sacred. Thousands of people from far and near visit this place every year. The Jaat (pilgrimage) of Chaumu comes down from village Sail, 5 km above the temple. Chaumu Jaat of this region has a unique way of cultural expression.

Rudranath

Rudranath is an idyllic location in Chamoli District of Uttaranchal. It lies at altitude of 7500 ft above sea level. Calm atmosphere and scenic locales are characteristic features of this village. Rudranath is well connected by road with Gopeshwar and Chamoli.
The village is famous for the Rudranath Temple, a natural rock temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Joshimath is around 45 km away.

Rudranath can be reached by a 20 km trek through thick forests, from Sagar Village, which is connected to Gopeshwar by a four km motorable road. Rishikesh Railway Station serves this area. Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest airport.

Gopeshwar Mahadeva Temple

Gopeshwar Mahadev Temple is an ancient shrine, situated at Gopeshwar, in Chamoli District of Uttaranchal. The presiding deity here is Lord Shiva enshrined in the form of a Shivling placed in a late pavilion borne on four octagonal pillars.
The temple has a sanctum of design and dimensions which are similar to that of the Lakha Mandal Temple. The temple features a magnificent 5 storied heavy-shouldered shikhara.

The temple compound has a large iron trident bearing two inscriptions. One inscription belongs to 7th century, mentioning the Naga-ending names of four kings, referring to the erection of the trident in a temple of Rudra. The second inscription, which belongs to the 12th century, mentions the re-erection of a Vijaya-Stambha (victory pillar) by king Ashokachalla.

Nagnath Temple

Nagnath Temple is an ancient shrine located in Champawat, Uttaranchal. This beautiful temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is a good example of traditional Kumaoni architecture.
Nagnath Temple was devastated by Rohilla and Gorkha invaders in the 18th century. Currently a double-storeyed wooden structure and a huge carved doorway remain.

Champawat is about 76 km south of Pithoragarh. The temple can be easily accessed from the Tanakpur Railway Station.
