Yamnotri Trip Devbhoomi Uttarakand - यमनोत्री के दर्शन

I got opportunity to visit Yamnotri in 02-04 Oct 09.  the plan was made as soon as I come to know about the holiday. I talked to many friends but all were busy & at last Yogesh Sati & me went for it

As Yogesh is also a photographer & lost his camera kit, he had to arrange from a friend.

02nd Oct- After my office I packed my bag & left to pick Yogesh. He told me that we have to collect the camera near Azad Market so I kick my bullet & headed towards it. After collecting the camera, we parked the bullet (for next 3 days) we reach ISBT at 2345 hrs. It was so crowded & hardly any bus has a seat left. Finally we get a bus to Haridwar in the entrance of the terminal.
We reach Haridar at 0500 hrs & went to old bus stand.

There were very less buses as the yatra session was going to end. We boarded bus to Uttarkahsi for Dhrasu Bend, after 3 hrs we crossed Chamba & after few hours we were driving by the side of massive Bhagirathi river on Tehri Dam.

We reach Dhrasu Bend by 1230 hrs & took jeep for Barkot & changed another jeep for Janki Chatti, by 1830 hrs we reached Janki Chatti, searched for a room.
Food was fine & the whether was quite cold. We had early dinner & call for the day early
 
03rd Oct- We started the trek of 5 km for Yamnotr by 0600 hrs. The trek is very clear & maintained well, still the trek light was on. We crossed Ram Mandir, Bhero Mandir & finally reached Yamnotir by 0900 hrs & straight enter the hot spring pool & that we offer prayer & clicked some photos…….., we also meet a group of trekkers from Lal Bhadur Instititutes of Management, Mussorie  (where future IAS take training) We finish our final prayer & started our decent & reach Janki Chatti at 1600 hrs.

Village Kharsali which is river crossed from Janki Chattiwas was in our plan, so we visited the village & surprise to see the mobile tower of reliance, airtell & idea phones & a hallypad is also coming up there
Yamnoti winter location is this village & a four story temple of Shani Dev is also situated here

We took lots of photos & reached our room in at night & had early dinner & collected information regarding the transportation

04th Oct- We took early morning bus for Naugaon (10 km from Barkot) from we took the jeep to Dehradun which crossed Mussorie too. We were stuck in landslide for more than 4 hrs & finally  reached Dehradun at 1900 hrs & took bus for Delhi & reach at 0230 hrs. My bullet was waiting for ur & we kicked it & reach home by 0330 hrs……………………………………………………..
