BALESHWAR MAHADEV
Baleshwar Mahadev is the most artistic temple of the district. There are evidences that the group of temples dedicated to Baleshwar, Ratneshwar and Champawati Durga were built by the early kings of the Chand dynasty. The temple once had intricate structural features and a sanctuary with a mandap. The intricate carving still visible on the ceilings of these temples is an evidence of their ancient glory and artistic excellence.

कुमाऊं के चंद शासकों की प्रथम राजधानी, चंपावत, संस्कृति एवं कला की धनी विरासत का एक प्राचीन शहर है। 10वीं से 18वीं सदी के बीच यहाँ उदित धार्मिक विश्वासों तथा सांस्कृतिक विचारों का अब भी कुमाऊं में पालन किया जाता है। यहां का बालेश्वर मंदिर बीते युगों के गौरव का झलक दिखाता है तथा चंपावत की यात्रा अतीत की आकर्षक झलकियों को देखने के समान है।

The entire kumaun region by virtue of its proximity with the Himalayas, has by tradition and legends been associated with numerous gods and goddesses. Champawat district has acquired the unique distinction of being the holy land of gods and therefore, temples of very large variety dedicated to diverse gods including local deities and demons of restricted influence are spread over the whole expanse. These temples either possess the architectural features of great interest to a scholar or provide sustenance to faith through setting local, associated legends or fantastic design formations. The urge to come back to them is irresistible in as much as they exercise an impact on human psyche that beats all scientific logic. Apart from this these temples are of great interest to a casual tourist from the point of view of design, landscape around and several other features unique to them.

मां भगवती हिंगला
शहर से 4 किमी, तथा चम्पावत- ललुवापानी मोटर सडक से 2किमी, दूर पर्वत शिखर पर मंदिर है यहां से चम्पावत मुख्यालय के विस्त`त क्षेत्र् का द्रश्य बहुत संदर दिखाई देता है यह उपशक्ति पीठ है नवरात्रयों में बडी भीड रहती है शहर के समीप स्थित होने से धर्मिक एंव पर्यटन की द्रष्टि से काफी महत्वपूर्ण स्थल है पर्यटन के रूप में विकसित किया जा सकता है

ताडकेश्वर महादेव
चम्पावत मुख्यालय से 5 किमी चम्पावत टनकपुर मुख्य मोटर मार्ग के किनारे पर स्थित है भगवान शिव का बहुत ही प्राचीन मंदिर है चम्पावत नगर तथा ग्रामीण क्षेत्र् का श्मशान घाट भी है शासन द्वारा इसी के बगल पर शीतल मत्स्य पालन केन्द्र तथा कोल्ड स्टोर भी बनाया है प्राचीन मान्यताऔं के अनुसार यहां पर स्थ्ति सीताकुन्ड में नहाने का बडा भारी महत्व है
