I have heard Chopta is in three places in Uttarakhand but I have information about two places. Anyone knows about thes  third place. Please do share the information here :


Chopta 1- (District:  Rudraprayag)
=============================

Chopta is a small town in Rudraprayag District in Uttaranchal. It is situated near the state highway connecting Tilwara and Agastmuni. The place is surrounded by cities and villages such as Nagrasu, Dhankot and Jakholi. The Chamunda Devi Temple and the temples of Rudranath are easily accessible from here.

Chopta 2 (Chamoli  District)

Situated at an altitude of 2900 m above sea level, Chopta is considered to be one of the most striking and quaint spots in the Garhwal region of Uttaranchal. The views of the Himalayan ranges from Chopta are breathtaking. It is also a favorite ground for trekking expeditions.
Tungnath (3 km), Kanchula Korak Musk Deer Sanctuary (7 km) and Ukhimath (31 km) constitute nearby excursions.

Chopta is located in Chamoli District on the Gopeshwar-Ukhimath road and is 39 km northwest of Gopeshwar.

Ramnagar - Nainital District
Ramnagar is situated in Nainital District about 35 kms from Kashipur, famous for Corbett National Park entrance point.

Ramnagar: Haridwar
This place is on Dehradun - Roorkee National highway in Haridwar District

Takula:

1. situated in Almora district towards Bageshwar.

2. A small village situated in Nainital District about 15 kms from Nainital, near Patwadangar (earlier famous for National Veterinary Research Institute).

1)Kalapani - is a Iceland. & name of film also.

Kalapani in Uttarakhand -

2)  Kalapani is situated at an altitude of 3,600 m, located in Pithoragarh District. It lies along the Kailash - Manasarovar route. There is a small pool under a huge rock, which is the origin of the Kali River. This region is surrounded by pine and juniper forests. A panoramic view of snow clad mountains is visible all around. Nearby attractions include Vyasa Cave, Kali Temple, Gunji, Budhi, Dharchula, Bageshwar and Navidhang.

      Binsar Mahadev (Ranikhet)
 Shiva's temple located near Sauni some 20kms from Ranikhet towards Ramnagar Road. It was the special day this day otherwise perfect peace could be observed amidst the large pinus trees in and around the temple. Photo by Himanshu Dutta
